He really is the Aussie Brendan. And like Brendan, it's ego that's the problem. If he would accept the deficiencies in his skill set and hire strong coaches in those areas then he could still turn out an effective team - his attacking play, their defensive structure. I still think Rodgers could have succeeded at Liverpool if he'd hired and empowered a strong defensive coach, rather than insisting he could do that himself, which he obviously couldn't.
He'd still have been an egotistical nob though.
