I know I've been banging this drum on here for some time with regards to the indisputable talent of the young forward Viktor Fischer, but as he hasn't got his own thread on here (I've become sloppy it seems), today is a good day to start that as he yesterday got his first bow for the Ajax XI in a pre-Season friendly. He scored too.

A few of you even watched him at first hand when he almost single-handedly tore our Youth team a new one in the Next Gen Series Semifinal and he could have a major career lying ahead of him.

Skill, ability, Fowler-esque finishing, self-belief and technique combined with pace and flair makes him a rather complete looking forward and he obviously won't come cheap should we be interested, but this is the type of player we should be looking to add to our team in the future.

From yesterday: (At around 6 min. in).

Highlight package (including his two goals and one assist in Ajax 3-0 win at Barcelona in the Next Gen Series Quarter-final).

Highlight package from his stellar performance against Liverpool in the Semis:

Scored again tonight. That's 3 goals in 3 appearances at senior level. Has been moved permanently into their first team now and looks odds-on to get his first bow this coming Season.

Will keep you posted until we buy him.

Fischer scored yet another hattrick for Ajax in the Next Gen Series away against Molde in their 5-0 win yesterday. Liverpool-target Lucas Andersen also got his name on the scoresheet on his debut for the Dutch.

Elsewhere defending champions Inter beat Liverpool 3-2, with Adorjan scored both of ours.

I'm actually playing as Ajax in Manager Mode on FIFA 13. Haven't played him much as his overall skill is quite low but from memory, FIFA have him down as more of a winger rather than a striker?

Even FIFA can get one wrong mate 😉

He can play everywhere across the front-line preferably on the left in a 4-3-3 or as the deep lying striker or frontman. He's left-footed but much like teammate Eriksen he can use his other foot very well too.

If it means anything at all, Eriksen is an utter beast in FIFA and I hope we sign him on the basis of how he is carrying my team in Manager Mode.

FIFA can also get one right then it seems...

😀

Viktor Fischer celebrating his first league start for Ajax yesterday with two goals and a clever assist. Eriksen assisting his first.

There would be no better sign of intend on our owners behalf than securing the signatures of Fischer and Eriksen before anyone else does. They'd make Suarez even better imo and are exactly the type of players Rodgers are looking for.

The Danish wonderkids appear to be reasonably level headed. I am assuming he is similar to Eriksson in mentality. If he is then we have no chance of buying him in January. He will stay at Ajax so that he can develop himself more and not jump at the first club who waves some money at him.

Hype!

AS had Fischer in their European Team of the Week (alongside Agger) and now Voetbal have for a second time in three weeks voted him as player of the week in Holland. Only Bony from Vitesse has managed two awards this Season as well.

I watched the game and Eriksen was imo the best player on the pitch but Fischers assist and goal along with his tender age has ignited a fair deal of hype. Even I must admit that.

Should he score tonight against Real, City will place a bid of one Gazillion Arabian Yen and he'll be compared to Messi and Laudrup.

Scored a brace in his first ever Ajax v Feyenoord Derby yesterday.

He's so calm it's rather insane baring in mind he's recently turned 18. After the game he was annoyed he didn't get a hatrick and felt he should've done better overall. De Boer thinks he's being to hard on himself.

Wow, he just glides with the ball. A major talent, no doubt.

I agree with KHL, we should at least try get first refusal rights on this guy, and quick.

Watching the highlight video now - it's amazing that I can on each clip I instantly recognize Fischer by his movement, even before he gets the ball. The way he runs is really different from other players, very quick, but flow-y, never in straight line, always ready to change speed and direction.

In many ways the English way of support and rivalry is to be envied.

Even in Denmark when FC Copenhagen and Brøndby play eachother theres more trouble and hatred on display than when say United and Liverpool meet, despite the setting being much inferior.
