More than likely he will have to take a pay cut, wasn't this the reason he didn't sign for Sunderland?

4m is a good deal given how rarely he featured under Kenny. I hope he goes

I hope he goes too, but also hope we get another striker in

N'gog will be pushed out and I'm certain Kenny made it clear that he won't feature with Bellamy on the way. Its a no brainer as he'll certainly get game time there which is what he needs to improve. Coyle is an excellent manager and Bolton play good football these days. He was made for Bolton and Bolton was made for him.

BBC sports news correspondent Dan Roan on Twitter: "David Ngog is currently having a medical at Bolton as Liverpool continue to off-load fringe players - deal imminent."

I'm sad to see him go, i like him and he obviously liked us.

Good luck n'goals

He'd have been OK as a stand-in IMO, but that was all he was ever going to be, whereas Bellamy (if he comes) is good enough to push for a starting place.

David N’Gog has passed a medical with Bolton Wanderers.

The French striker now looks to be on the verge of completing his switch from Liverpool to Owen Coyle’s side.

I liked N'gog more than most. He wasn't good enough to deputise for Torres but he gave his all when on the pitch and got a few goals for us.

We made a profit in his sale and will be getting Bellamy in to replace him for free. Good bit of business all round. We went from having Torres and N'gog to having Carroll, Suarez and Bellamy. Nice.

All the best David and your ridiculous Mr Bean voice.

I've always liked him. He improved year on year despite not getting anything like a run in the side and always gave 110%.

He's still young enough to prove a decent premiership striker for Bolton or anyone. Good luck lad.

The Bellamy of 4 years ago?

Definitely.

Not sure if he's such a good idea now.

I'm sad to see N'gog leave. Decent player, good lad, scored some great goals. Good luck to him.

I think he's a player who has suffered (as have many) at the hands of City's recent transfer policy. He looked great for Cardiff (differen't league I know, but he still looked good), and I think, as long as you keep him fit, that he will benefit greatly from the feel good factor around the club now, and the fact that we wanted him here. I would bet that he does better than 1 in 3 for us.

Agree with that. All the best Wash.

Genuinely hope the lad does well at Bolton. He always divided opinion but the potential was always there. Probably best for all parties that he moved on though.

Be interesting to see how he gets on playing regularly.

Decent finisher on his day, but I think his link up play is extremely poor. I don't think there's much there at all.

Good luck to him though. He always behaved himself and tried hard.

That goal he scored against the mancs where pepe ran the length of the field had me leaping around the pub like court jester on a gram of mkat.

not sad to see him leave, but wish him all the best. i hope we have a sell on clause as I can see him going to a biggish club in a couple of years.

David Ngog has revealed that he is 'fit and ready' to start the latest chapter of his career at the Reebok Stadium.

The striker, who spent his first few years in English football with Liverpool, signed in at the club on deadline day after agreeing a three-year deal with the Whites.

"It's a great pleasure to be here and to be a Bolton player," the 22-year-old told the official website on Friday morning.

"The club is ambitious and has been constantly improving over the last few years, and I'm happy to be a part of that.

"There is some good quality in the squad and I will try my best to add something extra to the team and bring my experiences with Liverpool to the club.

"The Gaffer makes the decisions on who plays and I respect that. I'm ambitious and want to be on the pitch every week and show what I'm capable of.

"I'm a striker and I want to score goals - I'm fit and ready to play whenever I'm asked to.
But I'm not judging myself on goals because it's all about the team winning. I think this can group do something good this year."

Ngog could be in line to make his Wanderers debut in eight days' time when Manchester United make the trip to Bolton for the live, Saturday evening televised game.

Two seasons ago he scored against the reigning Premier League champions, helping Liverpool to record a 2-0 victory at Anfield.

And the France Under-21 international said that a repeat at the Reebok next weekend would be the perfect way to start his career with the Whites.

Ngog has a pedigree of scoring against the Premier League's big hitters - last season he also found the net for the Reds against Arsenal and Aston Villa.

The former Paris St Germain added: "It is always exciting when you move to a new club and have that new challenge. Of course, I have to try to adapt quickly and I'm looking forward to working with the coach and meeting my new team-mates next week.

"If I can score my first goal next weekend then that would be great, especially against a big side, but getting a result for the team is more important."

Ngog completed his move to Bolton on transfer deadline day just minutes after Wanderers also secured a deal to bring Chelsea winger Gael Kakuta to the Reebok on a six-month loan deal.

Speaking about his new colleague, the number 24 added: "I don't know Gael personally but I have been following what he has done, both in England and with the France youth teams.

"He looks like a very good player and he has a lot of potential. It will be helpful too to have a French friend in the squad."

Ngog is set to be officially unveiled at a media conference on Monday morning, along with fellow newcomers Dedryck Boyata and Kakuta.

If Coyle manages to repeat his trick with Sturridge and Wilshere on this trio, they'll be pretty astute signings.

Binny, can you grant me access to your random bold generator please? I want to confuse some people with a news article.
