Newcastle vs Liverpool (Sat 19:45)

With Kieta out I think one of Chamberlain, Lallana or Shaq has to play this weekend.

I suspect it'll be Lallana myself. Too soon to guarantee Chamberlain for an hours play, & Shaq must have shat in Klopp's shoes or something.

In the Huddersfield game it looked we had enough tools in our offensive toolbox to carve them into small pieces even after making changes. Shaq and Ox came on and did well. Origi has looked Sharp as well when gives chances. I believe we should have enough in Our Squad to win Newcastle game and still have some fresh legs for Barcelona. We need to be smart and now it is no longer an option putting Gini, Hendo or Milner in a New position to keep solidity. I can understand why we tried away at Nou Camp. Those extra miles in Gini could have been well invested. But from now and the last games it is only Goals Goals and Goals that will give us something in return. We need to take higher risk than midweek and hopefull we are able to put these teams under so much pressure that we get what we need.

I'd want to leave Bobby out of tomorrow and make sure fully fit for Tuesday.
No chance. We have a miniscule chance of making the CL final (less than 5%) but a slightly better chance of winning the PL (which is our primary target anyway).

What dolts we'd look if City dropped points and we didn't win having 'saved' Bobby for a more than likely CL semi final defeat.

True, however Klopp has a blueprint, in Cardiff, that shows him that, yes, we struggle without Firmino, but that given just 45 minutes he is good enough to turn the game around for us.

I wouldn't say for sure, but if he did opt to start without him I wouldn't be at all surprised.

Regardless of the line up though, it has the potential to be a very difficult match. You take our match at Anfield out of the equation & they haven't conceded more then two to any of the other top 6 sides & have made life very difficult for them (not to mention beating citeh).

They do have some injuries to key players, but that could be as much of an issue for us as them, as they wont be as likely to open up or attack as they usually do, & we all know Rafa can organise a defence.

Always a tough game in front of 50 thousand of these inbreds. It's their last home game, late kick off, we're shite up there, their fans will be up for it.

We obviously have better players, so the only way we don't win is if the occasion/crowd gets to us.

I don’t see the need for negativity. Whether we win the league or not, we made the final of the CL last year, semi finals and maybe (maybe not) the final this year too. Can still win the league with two games to go against one of the best sides and manager the league has ever seen and we’ve amassed a huge points tally along the way.
It’s Newcastle. No win is guaranteed, but I’m certainly not negative or nervous about playing Newcastle.

Naby is out for the rest of our season after injuring his groin against Barcelona.

So Matip gets dropped. Hmmm. He has been superb for weeks and was better than Virgil against Barca. He has every right to be pissed with this.

The more significant news is no firmino at all.

And sturridge starting. He must be ace in training, but every time he starts hes shit. Surprised origi doesn't get a chance in position.

I don't know what happened to shaq, but our lack of attacking cover threatens to ruin another season.

Yep, the whole Shaq thingy looks a bit worrying.

Why? Rested for Barca return instead of paying 3 games in a week.

Newcastle XI: Dubravka, Dummett, Schar, Lascelles, Manquillo, Hayden, Atsu, Ki, Ritchie, Perez, Rondon.

Subs: Darlow, Shelvey, Diame, Muto, Kenedy, Fernandez, Barreca.

The drop off for attackers is insane. Weve seen origi out left, wijnaldum as a forward, and sturridge as a starter, but we can't figure out how to get shaq in. A lot of the solutions are inelegant because the pieces just don't fit.

I can't tell if that's a good or a bad side
