Napoli are the new Tottenham. As soon as we are interested in a player Napoli are as well (according to the media). It's even more ridicilous than the last season when it was Tottenham. The transfer windows are becoming very very boring thanks to the media.

Honestly, why would you allow yourself to get wound up enough to post on here over Napolli's bullshit rumours matching Liverpool's bullshit rumours.

It's all absolute bollocks.

It's just an excuse for Rafa for his impending battle with the Napoli hierarchy.
Nothing to see here.

A couple of names they've linked with were Benitez's targets in the past.

[article=http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/maxime-gonalons-liverpool-rafa-benitez-512586]"Interest of Napoli? This summer I met [Napoli sporting director] Riccardo Bigon a couple of times to talk about Gonalons but then nothing more," Gonalons' agent Frederic Guerra said.

"The transfer of Gonalons to the blue shirt of Napoli is possible. Benitez already wanted Gonalons during his time as coach of Liverpool."[/article]

[article=http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2523542/Etienne-Capoue-happy-chose-Tottenham-Hotspur-Liverpool.html#ixzz2qdhbqqQG ]Liverpool were linked with Capoue in 2009, and again the following summer, but the midfielder felt he was not good enough to cope with the pace and the physicality of the Barclays Premier League at that point.

Capoue admitted he was flattered to be linked with the Reds, but he is happy that he bided his time before moving to England.

'It was the right decision,' Capoue said.

'I didn't know that (Liverpool) in particular were interested in me but I knew that English clubs were.

'I came to Tottenham because it's a very competitive club and it's a strong club. It's what I wanted.

'I want to get in to the Champions League here and also I had the confidence of the coach and the French-speaking players spoke very well of Spurs as well.'[/article]
