Mr Rodgers.

It still doesn't make sense.

A synonym is a word that has the same meaning as another word. So for instance hirsute is a synonym for hairy. An antonym means the opposite, so in this example bald, or hairless.

You can't say synonymous throughout the fans, it makes no logical sense.

If you said he was synonymous with success throughout the fans, or synonymous with hope throughout the fans, then okay, but just synonymous throughout the fans is nonsensical. What is it you're trying to say?

you can also be synonymous throughout things. 'the world' for instance.

Right, someone explain this to me, cos I sure as shit know I'm linguistically correct.

Am I missing some kind of reference here?

I just think that by some kind of cosmic accident due to some weird star allignment or some shit, we've lucked into the best young coach in the game.

How our owners took this path I have no fucking clue. But fair play to Henry and co, Mr Rodgers is the tits.
I love the motherfucker and to read in the press about his coaching and man management being key to everything is warming the cockles of me heart.
He has tactics dripping off him. He can make Jordan Henderson think hes Zidane. Hes a fucking he row.
I think he can build a dynasty here...

Their plan was always for a young fresh coach but then Kennys massive impact put that on hold, nice post btw.

What's all this talk of hoping he'll stay for a while why would any manager ever walk away from Liverpool unless they were fired or it was affecting their health.
Rodgers to break fergusons record.

In 30 years Utd fans are going to celebrate the day he retires with us 20 titles and 10 cl's ahead of them.

Er, perhaps we should reserve the accolades for Brendan when the club actually wins a trophy?

All this feel good posting is making me nervous.

I'm limiting my enthusiasm to 'he's done better than I expected' for now.

Yep, thats the only reservation we can have with Brendan, he hasn't won anything yet, although he does look like a winning, infact id go as far as to say Brendan Rodgers is best who proves you don't need to win things to be a winner but he is a winner.

Heh, don't even go there!

I'm with Jexy. I wish everyone would reign it in a little (defence mechanisms kicking in again).

I'm still scarred by the whole Rafa episode who did actually win a trophy and was then pretty much deified from that moment on.

If Brodgers wins the league, he'll forever be a legend, just as Rafa is for winning the CL as he did that season, but I want to see sustained success and ultimately I wonder if Rafa got too much too soon at Liverpool in terms of goodwill and trust.

Thats a very valid point, and you have to worry that it will be ten fold if Rodgers win the league. Hopefully the owners and the transfer committee will keep Rodgers grounded, it definitely looks like he's here for the long run.

Wenger & Ferguson were both given the keys to the castle having won trophies & it's worked out ok for them. Alright Arsenal may not have won trophies for a while but they've been healthier than us for a long time in the last couple of decades.

It's like love, if you think you've found 'the one', you have to go all in, or go home.

I'd let Rodgers go balls deep on me right now

Considering where we were last season or the season before... He's brought us a long way and we look invincible. The friendships between the players is apparent, and the way our supposed weaker players are playing like seasoned world Cup winners is remarkable.

Hopefully it continues 4evah

I'm all for reigning it in a bit, but Jexy's more or less took it the other way. "He's done better than I expected, for now". A team that was outside the European places when he took over, is now challenging for title, something it took Rafa 4 years to achieve, and something he managed once in 6 years. Yet here we are.

If we can't acknowledge his progress and achievements until we win something, I'm struggling to see what the point of all this is. And it's worth pointing out that Rodgers has had to do this in an arguably more competitive league, and without the benefit of a pop at the CL.

We're scoring shit loads of goals, battering top sides, 2nd in the league, playing with panache and looking more entertaining than I can remember us looking in a long, long time. "He's done better than I expected, for now". Whatevers.

I've seen other managers hailed as geniuses on here, for much, much less.

I think he's the best manager in the league. I think I said that to my sister back before Christmas, actually, cos I cited him as our biggest hope of somehow challenging for the title.

I find it hard to fault him.

I'm in the 'Fuck, this guy seems to be really special but I'm not ready to call him the messiah just yet" camp.
The Jews For Jesus lads were as indecisive as you until they finally decided to "nail" their colours to the mast.

Im with Jexy and Keni...Mark mentioned the CL but I think the fact we didnt play in the CL helped a lot in our fight for title.
