Naby (similar price to Caicedo) was rated one of the very best players in the BL (huge pity he couldn't replicate that and turned into a sick note). We paid 100 million or so for naby and ox, the cheek to say they think 65 is too much for anyone years later…
That's my point.. he was banging on the we aren't interested drum since Jan 1st.Ben knows fuck all.

Caicedo has played just 8 PL games last season and 18 this. From a one year loan to Beerschot after buying for €5m to £75m in 6 months (and half a season of football this season) of a return to the PL.
That £75m has more to do with how he fits into the Brighton team, and the potential for an EL slot, plus an inability to replace him at short notice, than his actual worth, which is likely to be in the £30-40m bracket.
Both had proved themselves in big leagues before. In fact most of use can trace Keita’s pro Ito the Guinea FA’s insisting that he plays/travels while clearly injured. Never recovered from that.We paid 100 million or so for naby and ox, the cheek to say they think 65 is too much for anyone years later…
We were never in for him because we had already spent funds for next season on gakpo so was there was no way we were ever going to spend even half of that proposed fee on him. That's my point.. he was banging on the we aren't interested drum since Jan 1st.
We can't be out the race if we were never in it.
He's becoming the English ballbag.
I love how FIFA are going to come down on the Chelseas of this world with new FFP rules. Hopefully these new regulations will at the very least prevent Chelsea from spending like crazy over the next 2-5 years when the accumulated amortisation on the books of all these players will see them close to FFP limits. And the fact that Chelsea would probably pay £75m for him if they lose a few more games. Bloom is a poker ace. He's going to take Boehly to the cleaners for this, and rightly so.

Swings and Roundabouts. What's that insurance get out statement/clause? History is not an indicator of future performance?Uh hello is that Brighton? Yea we don’t want to pay that for your player you see we paid something very similar 5 years ago for a player with a lot more promise and top level experience…
how did that work out for you?
well thanks for taking our call
I doubt FIFA’s changes will affect the deals they have done so far, and Chelsea would obviously argue they might not have done those deals if they had known the changes would happen.I love how FIFA are going to come down on the Chelseas of this world with new FFP rules. @Beamrider ?
We're not in the race for anyone other than sucking off Jude's dad in the hope he can broker some deal between Dortmund and us to sell him for a freddo and a bag of cheesy chips.Ben Jacobs said we were never interested in the first place.
Jude. Everyone else is shite.Momo, what players do you want to see at Liverpool?
Jude is another English hype job, thought you were better then that.Jude. Everyone else is shite.
Caicedo is a decent player but certainly not worth 60M, let alone 100M.
In these recession times, I'd pay Brighton 20M if they're lucky. Figures are over-inflated cos of greedy agents and 3rd parties trying to milk them silly yanks dry.
