We need a Villa win - and for all of Villa's dogged defending so far, that isn't happening.

I decided I'd watch it for the football alone, that I didn't care about the result, I think I've aged so much in the first half that I look like I could manage the england team. Decent match so far though, city playing some brilliant attacking moves, villa should have done better with their chances but it's not like they've had any easy ones

They've done pretty well so far, all things considered, given they're missing their two main men aswell. They look pretty tidy when they get up there. It's only a matter of time before they cave in, but credit where it's due. It's 0-0.
I was near their ground about 90 minutes before kick off and the traffic was heavy but NOT heavy enough to delay fans 45 minutes. Ridiculously poor turnout.

If Villa has Benteke and/or Agbonlahor, I suspect they would have caught City on the break.. and probably got a goal, or had them reduced to 10 men.
As it is now, even Demechelis is comfortable stepping out of defence, Weinmann is no threat on the counter as he showed when he decided to shoot from 30 yards, when he was through 1 on 1.

Just checked the score, cant complain at that, lets hope for a Ben Watson type scenario.

Hard to argue with that, I reckon if villa fuck up it could well be through tiredness.
Let's hope at the very least they'll hold out for a draw.
