I think most of us, whether we loved Reina or were happy to see him go, expected Mignolet to be much more nervous on the ball and a shitter distributer of the ball.
And we were right on that point.

But his flapping with these crosses is doing my head in. That was the one big aspect I thought he might be much better at than Pepe. I sincerely hope it's just the combination of nerves and a 6 foot 7 freak going after the ball with him.

On a side note, Sturridge can be a frustrating fucker with his decision making, but fuck me, is he a striker! Love him.
And Coutinho needs to be put on a 5 year contract with a 150m fucking buyout clause.

It's a cause of concern, but he's making mistakes when he has to think about decisions, which is clearly a sign of nerves.

He'll be alright.

That was written for him.

Nervous throughout, but then saves a penalty in the last few minutes to win us the match.

Funny how it was the reverse of Agger - steady throughout then gives away a penalty.

The penalty save was good enough, but getting back up to spread himself immediately to save the follow up by Jones was amazing. Dudekesque.

You could just feel how the tension on Anfield was released after that penalty save. The crowd finally woke up.

The funny thing is my stream showed a graphic just before the penalty kick, which showed that Walters almost took all of his last few penalty kicks to the keeper's right. I was thinking, I hope we'd shown this to Mignolet before the game.
