Mignolet..

Which unfortunately means if he saves a shot off his face, it is likely to bounce directly out into the danger area. Better if he had a sloping or faceted face that deflected the ball towards the sidelines.

I think he needs to work on sloping or faceting his face.

Studge mistakes his arm for his head, a level of shitness which means he needs some guidance.

Mignolet has a spoon face and should approach attackers with his head slightly tilted backwards so that shots in and about his face will ride the spoon shape and balloon over the bar.

I'm not sure players are allowed to have performance enhancing reconstructive surgery. However, if Cech is allowed to wear head protection I don't see why Ming shouldn't be allowed to wear a mask. Something like this has good sloping that should steer the ball away safely enough.

I don't know if that's angular enough. You need a shape similar to the slopes on a tank's turret, you know something that can safely deflect missiles.

Yeah, I did say faceted. Unfortunately I couldn't find an image of the mask I envisage. So I went for the slopey design. I'd also suggest the little pinhole eyes in this design might not be the best either.

There's not much of an argument, but IMO, distribution is long down the list of a GK's priorities and has been widely overstated.because we're so used to Pepe Reina. Mignolet needs to work on it, fine, but in the mean time the defense, and the fans, shouldn't be treating him as an 11th ball-playing player on the pitch. I'd much rather see an improvement on his ability to catch/command corners and crosses in the near future as opposed to him launching attacks with 45 yard passes.
