Most enjoyable none LFC game of the year!
[/quote]

We didn't have that many enjoyable games.

Goal aside (and what a goal ) I thought Robben was superb tonight, he has come on leaps and bounds since leaving the premiership, he dictated play for Bayern tonight didnt always try to be too flash as he did in his younger days. He was superb tonight

Yep, and considering that he was on the right (when he is soooo left footed) and that he is only just back from injury, it was an impressive display.

Robben is a cracking player. Many didn't want him here due to his cuntish actions at time but he is a talent.

How much did he go to Bayern for?

Few things from Tonight's game:

- Interesting tactics. A revolving 6 man midfield for United with Carrick the only one asked to sit. Van Bommel and significantly Schweinsteiger couldn't live with the runs from midfield from Gibson and Fletcher. The yioung left-back got raped by Valencia, and Nani's pressure - something we've not seen a lot of before - was impressive.

- Pressure. Immense. Totally hounding the man on the ball, led best by Fletcher. Reminded me of the 7-1 raping they handed out to Roma at the same venue 3 or 4 years ago with Alan Smith leading the line and not giving the Italians an inch.

- But they didn't kill them. Bayern's quick, one-touch counter attacking opened them up a few times. The threat from Olic was there before he scored the goal. Carrick's part in Bayern's first was significant. Significantly bad. Fucking stand up and muscle him out of it. That's twice in a week the Englishman's been bowled over. Capello probably would have taken note.

- The back of Rooney's neck. Seriously, does he never ask the hairdresser/Coleen to shave it? He looks like a fucking werewolf.

- Robben. Held quite well by Evra for the most part, his finish was absolutely sublime for the goal though. That's what 20M gets you.

Oh, and...

- The way Bayern moved the ball against 10 men was superb. No panicking, no mad long balls, they didn't even try anything intricate. Just continually moving the ball from side to side, pushing Utd further and further back everytime, and tiring their midfield. The pressure eventually told.

Hahaha. Perfect start to the day. Sur Alex's face must have been precious at the final whistle. Gonna google that now. Hahaha

I think it was more down to his injury record.

Cracking player with real pace.

Imagine having him on our left. 🙁

He plays on the right for Bayern Dreamy.

Man U out of CL means they can now concentrate only on the PL. Chelsea has to win the remaining 5 but they will be distracted by the FA Cup! Ominous..... and I don't like it. On the positive side, hopefully that Rooney will be out for the next 3 games and not have another miraculous recovery for this weekend and next!

I kinda agree with you on this, but that being said, reaching the European Cup final each of the past two seasons hardly dented their domestic fortunes, did it... So I say "F$%! it" and am simply thankful that they're out. Let the title chips fall where they may.

Yeah, let's simply enjoy this moment and bask in Bayern's victory....

My scum supporting friend said it was all down to narrow margins in elite footie... So I had to reply that they had had margins on their side for the best part of two decades now, and finally margins was not enough anymore!! YES!

The Scum losing is always good news.

And I'll tell you what;if Citeh beats them I'll be ecstatic, even if I'm horrified at what that might entail.

Losing out on 4th? Whether Citeh beats ManU or not, we are out of 4th already. Love it should Citeh beats them! Without Rooney, it is likely.

Crap & here was I laughing so gleefully. Forgot that Chelsea's still in the FA Cup. Correct about the distractions.
Let's us if Sur Alex persists in playing Rooney while injured or not fully fit.
Wonder if the wankfest over him would persist if Rooney get seriously injured as a result. English WC dreams bye bye?
