If the pre-match violence had happened to an English club playing away at a foreign club, in say eastern Europe, the media would be going mad demanding all kinds of bans and denouncing the country in question for its social disorder. It happens here and, while some reporters rightly treated it seriously, others dismissed it as 'shenanigans' and 'mischief' while the FA, as usual, has meekly hidden behind the police. And that sleazy little twerp David Sullivan actually had the nerve to say 'I think you'll find the bus is not damaged' and chastised the mancs for not arriving 'before 4pm' for a 7.45 kick off.
Mind you, for the ultimate in nuttiness, Sullivan won the prize when he said what would be missed most about the Boleyn Ground would be 'the family atmosphere'. Bloody hell!

I'm very confused indeed. I think someone posted something about last night's game in a thread about the weekend's games, instead of midweek games, and then it all went weird.
Still, an interesting look back into history at just how miserable everyone was in May 2010 - especially me by the looks of things - as Benitez was about to be sacked and Hodgson appointed. So after a really shit season, it was all about to get worse....

And in true DJ Sydney style, in a thread that hasn't been added to since 8.58pm yesterday evening, it's taken him about 13 hours to warn people that 'Theres a thread about last nights games already'.

They both have the word "week" and "game" in them, so it's not really that hard to make a mistake.
The new midweek thread wasn't yet up while I was writing the post (and I dawdled as I could barely be arsed to finish it anyway), and as no one else was creating a new thread it seemed a bit pointless me doing so if, as seemed likely, no one else was going to post!
I think I'll start a copy of this thread, but make it time specific for two minutes later, then urge this to be merged with it, after which I will wait a day and demand explanations from those who posted in the first thread.

Take the onus and start the new thread if their isn't one... if some one else starts one soon after.. we will just merge them, though its likely they wont if one already exsists
Seemed too messy to create a new thread for what seemed like a one-off comment. In future I just won't bother to make the one-off comment, although the fact that I'm having to defend myself for something so trivial a day later suggests too many people have too much time on their hands.
im not having a dig mate.. no offence intended.. it just makes are life easier modding, if people take the initiative..
