agger is a quality player, thank goodness he is back. hopefully he is fit enough to play the semi final.
He was negative and hesitant as per. He only turned up in the last 5 when everyone decided to have a go.
If they and others only managed to play to their full potential we'd be doing a sod of a lot better.
He played many excellent passes and did little wrong bar his poor attempts at goal.
If it was Shelvey doing it you would be on your third change of trousers by now.
He is far from the finished article but there is a player in there
I agree there is a player in there, but he's a coward. He's terrified of doing something wrong. That's why I prefer jonjo. He would rather try and fail rather than retain possession.
Jonjo was poor/average today, but he tried to force the play. Henderson, not so much

to be fair i was quite encouraged with the final 15 mins. pretty much the time agger was on the pitch.

I don't agree though I think there is certainly more of a directness and urgency with Jonjo, a la Stevie.
Someone else had a pop at him for shooting outside the box, surely it would have been easier to lay it off if he was a complete pussy. I think people have just decided that he is a weak minded useless player and can't see a decent performance when he puts one in
Also is it not possible that where you see hesidancy it is often for the reason that there is no movement and little options ahead.
Considering our current, bottom of the table form........
How much would Carlos Vela cost? He's managed to knock in more goals in 15 mins than we have in the last 3 games for Real Sociedad...

everton are going to target enrique, no question about it. he is beyond awful these days.
I am not going to deny that he is a young player trying to find his feet at a big (?) club and a dose of self belief would improve him enormously.
I still believe he will be a big part of our future.

Play Agger as the right sided centre back with *insert name of any cb* and see how well he plays. Skrtel has had to play on the left of the two quite a bit since Agger got injured and his confidence/form has suffered. Agger and Skrtel are our best pairing and should always play when fit.
Question 1: It could, but (a) there are many other possible reasons and (b) Skrtel hasn't been that bad anyway.
Question 2: That doesn't follow at all. Agger might just as well perform below his best without Skrtel.
No clue why, not like he did much wrong.
Because Charlie Nicholas is a bitter todger-nosed cnut who turned down the chance to join us when we were still winning titles and has never got over it.
To be honest i thought he was talking about Henderson when he first started😵
To be fair he was reminded that Shelvey is only twenty.
I don't feel the need to take sides in the Shelvey v Henderson war.
i reckon they both will be important players for us in the future.
