I know they finished above us, but of the two sets of fans we're by far the happier. It seems it's Jose's 3rd year and the inevitable implosion has began where he starts blaming everyone but himself.

I was going to have cheerios for breakfast but was a bit late getting out the door.
In the end I had an all day breakfast roll.
Am I happy about it? No. But I listened to some Wu Tang on the way to work so im pretty zen to be fair.

They have two trophies to show for it though. Sure, a lot of money spent but they got something out it.
Hopefully it changes for us now.

The fans are not happy though. They would rather play football and come close to winning things, than play and win by parking the bus

They’re battling for top 4 this season, their team and manager and no where near a title challenge. I’m not saying we are either, but they’ve got virtually no chance if city play like they did last season.

I believe Mourinhos style of play has a points ceiling in the league. They can't catch city playing this way.

We can

Fans I know aren't happy with Jose. Seems an awful atmosphere to be going into a new season with - if things start badly, Old Trafford will get toxic quickly, especially with Zidane now being mentioned.

Never underestimate Utd, they do much better in troubled times compared to us... How many times have they finished 6th or lower compared to us in the last 30 years! We can laugh (as I am) because of the amount of money they have spent but I know once the season starts they will be there or there abouts as usual!

There or thereabouts as usual? They haven't once looked like challenging for the League since Fergie retired. 5 full season's since then.

I'll rephrase. I would still put money on them making the top 4 (unfortunately).

Lukaku looks like he is getting some consistency.
Sanchez cannot be worse than he was last season.
Pogba could replicate his WC performances.
They still have De Gea.
No idea about Fred but he made the WC squad.

They still have the same shitty defenders but with Mourinho's bus setup they will not concede many.

If their forward line can click they could be better than last season.

Unless Mourinho has a complete meltdown they’ll finish in top 3 comfortably and depending on the form of City, challenge.

I don’t think there is any player that’ll be able to derail his season like there was at Chelsea.

They likely won't have Martial and Smalling and possibly Rojo gone too. Pogba won't replicate his WC form under Mourinho in that midfield and all United fans are concerned with LB, RB and RW. Matic is out for 6 weeks. They have an easy opening few matches though.

Top 4 perhaps. Not Top Two.
