In this game it's impossible for me to choose the top 3, because I thought there were 4 players who were head and shoulders above the rest: Milner, Lallana, Wijnaldum and Klavan. So for the first time ever I'm going to do an actual coin toss to determine who misses out.

- Lallana – great energy and creativity throughout the game and a key assist.
- Milner – used all of his immense experience and concentration to decisively win the battle with Sterling (I was worried about that individual battle before the game). Also got the pass of the game for Firmino.
- Wijnaldum – finally scored a game-winner for us, but was excellent in his "water-carrier" duties throughout as well. Becoming a key player for us.
