They have an underwhelming central midfield and central defence for all the money they've spent (although that could still change), however they have a lot of very solid players and a lot of talent in attack. It's not far off from where Chelsea started - I doubt many were too scared about Drogba et al at the time - and if Mancini can bring it together, they'll have a very good side.

I think, on paper - at the moment - we'll do well to finish in the top 4. City, with the squad they've got already and the likelihood of further signings, ought to be 2nd or 3rd, if not champions.
