Make or break season for Nunez?

Won’t play him for the 90 in a fucking league game though will he.
Hope he will. Nunez and Diaz are unpredictable and crazy, and scares the shit out of teams. We’re not at a point where we can completely dominate like City do, so we need that x-factor up front. Gakpo’s ordinary and Jota can have incredible moments but also be pretty anonymous during games.
The two South Americans are what’s going to help us beat the odds this season.

Having 5 quality forwards is fantastic because we can vary the attack, our strategy, depending on the opposition and their tactics. We can also rotate and substitute to save legs and prevent injury (so it's nice that players don't have to play the full 90 mins where injuries can happen due to fatigue). I want our strikers subbed off after 75-80 mins !

Salah isn't so keen on that though....

Well 80mins is good enough for me, another game where he leads the line superbly….inadvertent touch for the pen perhaps but that’s a bit of good fortune he’s needed for a while and an incredible finish of the volley from a sublime ball from Mac.

And people actually thought he was a dud, hahahaha.

Onwards and up son.

The quality and variable traits our group of forwards and midfielders have gives the options of plan B and plan C when things get tight and openings are scarce.

He's fucking brilliant, as has already been said, we were waiting for signs that he can grow as a player, proof that he can become more than an instinctual player relying purely on his physique, proof that he's coachable. Well, we're clearly seeing that growth in these first games of the season, it's honestly exciting to see what he can become, I couldn't care he misses some sitters, all strikers do, look at Haalands yesterday, the thing I care about is that he's scoring and causing goals in almost every game he's involved in, and the big thing now is he's doing it whilst not sticking out like a sore thumb in the team, he's actually contributing and adding to the team. Sky's the limit for Nunez if he keeps this up.

Agreed. He’s clearly progressed. That second goal today was amazing. He’ll miss sitters for sure. Better get used to it. But he’ll score and create havoc as well. That’s 2 games at least he’s won for us

Chay Given :

Since the start of last season, he has hit the woodwork eight times in the Premier League, more than any other Premier League player.
He was only millimetres away from taking those chances, and it won't take much of adjustment for his goals to really start to flow.

I'm still unconvinced by his intelligence, link up play and composure in front of goal.

But if he improves these aspects, well, he's got all the physical attributes to score 30 goals in a season and fire us to a title challenge. He certainly has enough chances per game to do so, right now.

He’s definitely improved, he’s timing his runs better and has integrated better into the whole team - yes his finishing and first touch are erratic, but all in all it’s been a good start to this season.

He’s lucky he was still on the pitch for his goal - I wanted him hooked after his bad miss.

If he can be “good Darwin” consistently, then this season could be very exciting.

Who cares about his footballing ability though, how good is his English these days, that’s the most important thing. Ha, who am I kiddin’, some people eh?

You’re suggesting Klopp has the same thought process as some fickle supporters. As if he’d take a striker off after one bad miss. Salah would only be playing 5 minutes a game if that were the case!

Yeah - that’s why he’s managing a top team while I’m talking bollix on a forum.

In my defence - Klopp does normally refresh his strikers or midfield around the 65th minute and he took Gakpo off a minute after he scored against Wolves.

Have to say I think his link up play has gotten a lot better this season. Much improved all around. Hope he continues to score goals and continues his development. Deserve the success.

Easy. No Hendo.
