Welcome to Liverpool, Luis. Good luck son.
not really, when a manager goes to a new club they tend to go for players they have worked with so they can immediately bring their stamp to the team, its more of a comfort thing i think
It's a shit manager thing
rafa does it, mouriniho does it and probably loads of others
That Ayre interview doesn't make much sense. 'He was top of our list in terms of his ability and skills in the position he plays'.
What does that mean? That a Barcelona B player is our marquee attacking signing of the summer?
From the photos it seemed like he came in his own Liverpool gear and was presented with his official kit. That would be quite strange, I would think. My first thought on seeing this photo was why the guys would make him pose holding the same kit as the one he's already wearing.
Just like Allen and Borini

Exactly.Does it matter though? They've scouted him and think he fits the bill, I don't get why there should be an order of priority, you either think a player will improve you or you don't, if it's the latter you don't bother, so I'd imagine with all of our targets it's a case of us wanting them, it beats tossing away £20m on "someone else" because Gareth Barry or whoever is unobtainable. It shouldn't really matter what the initial pedigree is, a few people were showing similar reservations about Coutinho. I know not every transfer is the same, but it seems obvious from Ayre's comments that we have alot of faith in this lad. I'd be more worried if there weren't solid links to other players, but there are, it's obvious there's quite a few on the way in. One of them is being linked with a £20m+ move, so us saying one of our cheaper signings is a big coup should be treated with optimism really. It's not like he's saying £6m on a Spanish reserve is the best we can come up with.

Helluva lot more exciting that signing Downing and Adam.
aaahh a fellow hater. Always appreciated.
Is there really a player called Minas Tirth? Does he play for Gondor?
You say fellow hater as if you were the only person who wasn't enthralled with Downing and Adam signing?
Its a bit like having a club for people who like air though, isn't it?There's always room for more members.

WTF is this thread title?
It is sick abuse Rurik. Cyberbullying of a pretty noxious type. I'm going to self-harm tonight.
I was excited until I found out he was 24.
