His relationship with manager Van Gaal has gone from bad to worse and he's now been suspended after airing his frustratrions to the press.

I don't mind this at this stage, we REALLY should be in for him.

*We can use Dossena as bait*

I must keep catching him play on off-days, because he always disappoints.

May as well go trout fishing whilst using a cabbage as bait.

Well, yes, but that's a bit vague. We need someone with power and pace who'll not sulk on the bench but come on and really be a threat. To me, that seems a very tricky shopping trip with barely anything, or nothing, in the wallet. Finding someone who is at least better than Voronin sounds much easier, but it's surely not a wise way to pose the challenge.

Well he's not the Luca Toni of the Palermo, Fiorentina and early Bayern Munich days.

BUT, he is still a decent striker.

Physically he would be up to the challenge of the EPL at ease... what's missing is that scare factor which he used to have, that would really intimidate opposition defenders.

I wouldn't mind taking him or Klose on the cheap.

LVG is losing his players. Should've perhaps stayed with AZ and continued being a hero there then come over and incur wrath and sacking.

That's a relatively futile comparison really.

I like N'gog, and he's doing very weel for one so young and inexperienced. Comparing him to someone who's played in the Premier League for half a dozen years is ridiculous. We need N'gog, and others.

He'd be a useful option but he's hardly scored since going to Bayern (that's a guess).

Hasn't N'gog got 5 in 8 in a team not firing?

But surely the point is to improve the team for now. Crouch is better than Ngog now and will be for a couple of years. If Toni is on Crouch's level then he is better than Ngog at the moment in time and would improve the team/squad.

I know you were guessing but just so you do know,

First season at Bayern - 46 games - 39 goals
Second season at Bayern - 35 games - 18 goals - spent most of the second half of the season battling an achilles injury.

He's barely played this season.

But between August 2003 and May 2009 he scored over 150 goals. That's pretty impressive for anyone.

oh no, not another crock?

Only towards the end of last season. And his return to 1st team was blocked by new signings of Gomez and Olic

Furry muff, I was way out. I'd take a punt on him then if he's over his injuries. he'd certainly give us a serious physical presence (currently lacking) when Torres is out.

So he is not like aqua man and worth a punt?

We really should try and sign him up on a 6 month contract.

Chelsea is the latest club to be linked but hopefully we can use our Italian players as bait should we be interested.

He'd be like a 10 times better option than Davies, Beattie or whomelse mediocre we've been linked to of late.

Im not sure using Dossena as bait would really help to tempt his fellow Italian to the club.

I've got a feeling that Dossena likes the club actually. He hasn't been bitching (what I know of anyways) to the medias and has always tried his hardest when on the pitch.

You are probably right though, I would just like to see a capacity like Toni beeing brought in come January.

He knows how to score goals.

He's been reported over here as saying that's the only club he's interested in joining. When a player burns all his other bridges like that, it looks pretty conclusive.
