Liverpool vs Spurs Match thread

It's been coming. I'm actually surprised it's taken this long for a side to consciously target and press him. He often takes a first touch and barely controls the ball, and the way he shapes his entire body a certain way before teeing up his leg like a golf putter to make a pass, has been absolutely begging to disrupted by an opponent with half a brain.

Hmm. I'm not his biggest fan, but even I have to say that his first 45 minutes against Spurs is not his usual level, though. I don't think he will play that badly again for a while.

Hopefully, because aside from an out of favour Skrtel and Toure, he's all we've got until we can shake things up in the Summer. He didn't look too chuffed in the photos of him getting on the plane this morning.

Klopp's probably only just finished screaming at him

I doubt anyone at Spurs were thinking about individual performances when it comes to that match, no matter how poor.
Dropping 2 points will be the main talking point with the title race in mind.

I havent talked to one Spurs fan yet that have said they deserved to win either. A draw was probably quite fair even though we had the bigger chances.

Wasn't it borderline embarrassing to see Man U back off him like "let's see him mess everything up".

Like I've mentioned before, I saw him live once at Anfield, I was seated right above the corner flag and had a good view of the defence at work or Suarez making everyone look like mugs. It was just a few months after he had joined. Crystal palace game, we won 3-1 I think.

He looked so awkward with the ball, and not that intelligent off it. Hence Agger mania.

Yeah it was absurd at times, especially the chest control to give it straight to them to counter attack us. I've noticed him killing the ball instantly using his chest in the past for us. He's actually quite good at it. Everything just seemed to go wrong for him in that 45 mins.

Christ, none of our CB's fill me with much confidence. Looks likes we'll be rolling the dice with Matip again but he'll have my full support. I miss having a player like Carragher back there. Someone that will play the percentages, someone we trust will try make the right defensive decisions. It's ridiculous that neither our keeper or central defenders inspire confidence.

I've been impressed with Sakho any time I've seen him live to be fair. I also noticed his passes were forward and incisive. I'm not sold on him at all but he's definitely hit and miss which is frustrating.

Even when he's playing well he looks awkward. I'm always terrified when he gets the ball. Sometimes he does great but I'm never too sure about it.

Even the backheel in his own box was idiotic, and that was one of the few things he did correctly in that first half

I'm still freaked out that he had the confidence to do that while in the middle of a serious anti-midas touch.
