Well, we didn't exactly start at full steam and then we slowly petered out as the half wore on.

Whole team looks nervous - as though the weight of expectation is suffocating them. Sterling and Lambert both guilty of over thinking when they should be looking to score. Gerrard looks to be trying too hard and Allen has rushed things though he's been fairly solid. Henderson has actually looked better - him trying too hard is probably what he needs to be doing just now.

There's a fair bit of room in between their back four and their midfield. I'd like to see Coutinho or Lallana coming on just to exploit that space - probably the Brazilian as I think he gets between those two lines more naturally than Lallana. I also think Sterling needs to be more central - he's looking to create and needs to be looking to score instead. Maybe Markovic or, more likely, Lallana for the right hand side.
