Liverpool vs Barcelona

Didn't they lose from the same / better positions against Roma and PSG the last two years?

It ain't over yet.

They beat Roma 4-1 in Nou Camp, lost 3-0.
They smashed PSG 6-1 two years ago I think to overcome the deficit from Paris.

One of the many things that pissed me off in Barcelona was corners - you have quite a few very good aerial threats, and we went short twice and the ball never got into the box.
NO - every corner, into the box and hope it finds VvD etc ...

Assuming Salah is out (looking likely):

Becker

TAA* Matip VvD Robbo
Fab
Milner Hendo

Ox** Shaq

Mane

* => I was tempted to say Gomez and put TAA in midfield but not having TAA as a RB in the first leg hurt us. A lot of potential opportunities were passed up by JoeGo.
** => We started JoeGo last week, then no reason not to start Ox. Pace and creativity, and perhaps some 'magic' and 'karma' can see him give us another shot at big ears.

There’s no way the score line at theirs was a true reflection of the game. So who knows what we can do at Anfield, but without bobby and mo, it’s looking very tough. Need another 6CM

Yeah I want to see Shaq and Ox starting with Mane up front. But it's going to be Origi, isn't it?

Ox is the kind of player that will cause them tremendous problems (if he plays) - carries the ball with speed, and has a shot on him from distance so they have to push up on him.

Put that along with Shaq and I think we have a chance to score goals.

Winning? Potentially.

Winning the tie? Crazier things have happened, but unlikely.

I like your thinking, we could play Mane up front, and Ox just behind to the left and Shaq to the right just behind. That formation could work for us, so thinking of 4 3 2 1 formation. Mane to go all Wakanda on them.

He will play with two defensive midfielders which will allow the fullbacks to push up, whilst protecting the back line against Barca counter attacks.... TAA will boss it.. Origi and Mane will switch positions throughout the game.
4-2-3-1

TAA -- VVD -- MATIP -- Robertson
----- Fabinho ----- Henderson -----
Shaqiri -----------OX-------------- Origi
------------------ Mane ---------------

Milner, Studge and Brewster options from the Bench

It will be Shaq Mane Origi. Ox might be in with a shout.

There is no way Studge will be starting. He was playing like a 50 year old at the closing stages of the Newcastle game.

Lallana hasn't even made the bench these last few games, why do you think Klopp would play him?

I really hope it's Mane, Shaqiri and Sturridge

Lallana has never played well right after he has came back from an injury. He has already fluffed one CL finals. So why bother?
