Liverpool vs Arsenal (Anfield : Sunday 16.00)

If we play 3-4-3 again, unless Rodgers tells the fullbacks to defend first, Sanchez is going to dick us. He'll pull in behind Moreno/Markovic time and time again and lay a flat ball across our eighteen yard area to Ramsey or one of their other pony cunts. To have a chance playing like this, we'll have to make sure either our full backs play a lot more conservatively, but that then detracts from the point of the system, or that Lucas and Gerrard don't keep magnetising to the ball leaving a massive gap in the middle, with only a lazy half arse Coutinho covering their runners. I'm not confident of either of these things happening, remember how well three at the back worked last time against Arsenal?

Arsenal are a dickless, cowardly shithouse of a side. If we press them well enough they'll fold.

Edit: and I'd be quite happy to play an attacking side against them. They have some very good players but they are spineless

Is this a thread about Arsenal or Lucas?

Either way, must win game tomorrow. Losing will probably see us being so far behind the other top 4 challengers that we'll struggle to catch up.
Unless we suddenly discover some 2013/14 form, which doesnt look likely at the moment.

Ramsey is out thankfully. Just as he was coming back into form.

Fuck knows how this will go. Bit nervous now thinking about it...it's the same every week but this really has the feel of a decisive game in our season.

Win this and our mini-table for 4th will stand at :
Spurs 27
Arsenal 26
Liverpool 24 and all to play for.

Lose though and it's :
Arsenal 29
Spurs 27
Liverpool 21 ........ and that's a long way back. Luckily we are all still in Europe so no advantage there yet.

I like how the mancs, 11 points in front of us, don't have a shot at third. Are they too far away to be seen in that table or something?

Raheem: "Our confidence is on its way back to where it should be. Hopefully we can get out there with a quick start."

The skipper still feels today's match can be a catalyst of sorts, should the Reds manage to inflict defeat on Arsenal - and he believes there's enough quality within the Liverpool ranks for that to be achieved. "We're still moving forward, I really believe that," said Gerrard. "I'm the first to admit it's been tough this season, it's been a bit of a roller-coaster. We aren't where we want to be in the table and nobody is happy about that. "But we're determined to put it right.

It will take time. But I have that belief that we'll get it right and we will get there. If we can come through a big game against Arsenal and get a win then that could be the catalyst for us to go on a run of results. "We are a strong dressing room with a good manager - it will only be a matter of time before we turn it around. I've got confidence it will happen - and hopefully it will start with a victory over Arsenal because that could really kick-start things for us.

agreed, they are missing players and surely they will play more conservatively and try hit is on the counter. We should make sure that they dont get of their half.

Oops !! I actually thought he was referencing the Arse fans and just threw the player quip in there - I had totally forgotten about Whinger !

"Six months ago I was the manager of the year. Now I am useless" BR hits back at critics.

Six months ago BR had a truly world class player on the top of his game and a great partner with him to bail BR out time and again. He's not a shit manager, but he's gonna need to turn this and soon.

This is just selective crap, he had us playing brilliant football and wiping the floor with teams. Dalglish had Suarez too, why weren't we snotting everyone then? And this "great partner" you're on about, who bought him? Great reasoning.
