That throw out which went right to their centre mid. Fuck me.
I was fucking apoplectic when he did that. Then later when he threw it out of his area to kick it, then kicked it straight their midfielder.

So it comes back to him a minute later & he kicks it first time to try to counter & it falls well short of the halfway line at the feet of their player. Again.

Shockingly bad.

It's this sudden waving of the arms to get everyone up the pitch like he's gonna go long, then he takes an age, and ends up knocking it to one of the centre halves and puts them in trouble.

He's fucking dogshit. If Klopp can't see that, then I'm seriously starting to doubt his managerial ability.

Even at two nil you just knew they were still well in the game the way that we tend to shit ourselves regardless of who we're up against.

I'd just like to point out for the few of you who didn't already know this, @the count is a proper legend.

When I heard the score was 2-0 - I just looked at how long we had left and thought, ah - well this is not going to end well. No stage this season have we ever looked capable of maintaining a lead no matter how dominant. The key to this is looking at our possession stats - nearly always we are on top in this area, but can we win games, hold on to a winning position despite all that ball possession ? - the answer is sadly no.

Except against Man City and Southampton.

Enough is enough is right, there's 10 players in this squad I want to dump and it starts with the 2 worst goalies in the fucking league.

Any ire or blame about today shouldn't be directed at protesting fans. Errors like today are a common occurrence and this clown is more often than not to blame. He's incompetent and should be volleyed to the bench pronto.

Point the finger at the idiots who bought him and gave him a new contract.

I'm fully behind Klopp but if he persists with the buffoon in goal then he deserves criticism.

Even if he did think Mignolet deserved the number 1 spot, which I doubt, cos he has eyes, then there's no fucking way he does now.

Short of actually throwing the ball into his own net (which I fully expect him to do soon), he's doing everything he can to hammer that message home.

We need a overhaul of the squad. Ming of course one. ... dm cd and front three or four just others. But I trust Klopp to start the work and build a No nonsens club. The culture is build with everyone and those Who are not winners will be gone either summer or next summer. Cheers!!!

Except against Man City and Southampton.

Actually - against Man City - I did not accept the final score would still stand until the match reached 90 minutes, and even then I thought that they may score one against us to make it 4-2. Against Southampton - well lets just say I thought we might win it when we were 4-1 up but they looked lost.

Irrespective if Man City had scored and made it 4-2, they still maintained a lead, same with Southampton.

So it's more what you thought rather than if Liverpool have actually maintained a lead because you can't deny the facts?

I'm not saying it's all peachy keen but let's not rewrite history or, at a bare minimum, get your sentences correct.

Mullet my sentences are correct - the problem is your interpretation is messed up. This team of ours is not trustworthy enough - the Norwich game showed us for what we really are.

Sakho got done by Defoe for the 2nd goal there, but those kind of goals are not the big inditement of our defense – Defoe knows his way around the penalty area, he knows how to use his body to shield the ball and how to shoot quickly on the turn, that's why he scored over 200 goals in his career and is in the double-digits in the EPL even now at age 33. Yes, Sakho could have dived in or pushed against him harder, but that carries its own risks. I really think we could have done with a striker like Defoe, he's a pro.

I think the first goal is what really turned this game and lost us points. And that was Mignolet's fault.

We'll buy a new GK this summer, and there is no point in having a go at Klopp before after the summer transfer window is shut and we for some reason havent bought anyone.

Ming is regressing in quality. Gives an interview on Thursday about nasty Ming and that his best years are ahead of him.
And then you cant even set up a wall for a free kick.

I hope to God we give Ward a chance on Tuesday, and if he gets it I hope he does everything he can to keep it.

That was one of Mike Hooper's biggest faults. Used to set up a wall to defend one side of the goal then stand behind them and give the free kick taker a free pot at one side.

Yeh exactly. The walked out on the team when they needed them. It's not what they were protesting against, but the bottom line is that the team needs its 12th man and they walked out on them when they needed them. Not because of them.
Just say you're right for a second and it did impact the team; shouldn't this fundamentally important "12th man" therefore be treated with reverence and respect by the club hierarchy, if not for altruistic reasons then simply because they are a major influence to the on-field performance?

That 2 points could be worth 1 or 2 places in the league table come the end of the season (and that's before we even consider whether the walkouts continue in other matches with the same effect). At £1.1m to £1.3m per place, needlessly squeezing fans ticket prices begins to look like poor business management.

Of course there's justification in criticising Klopp, he's given one of the worst keepers in the Premiership a new bumper deal while he continues to perform poorly each week. It's one of the most baffling footballing decisions I've ever come across. I don't buy any of this rubbish about it helping to secure a fee either. Someone, somewhere actually believes that this lad is good enough and will improve. He's got fundamental flaws that won't just go away with age and we want to keep him here longer and on more money. Pardon the monotony but Rodgers/Kenny would have been crucifed for such a decision. Question Klopp though and we're greeted with this ridiculous notion that he can't be questioned until it's his team. If he's given someone a new deal, he is part of HIS team.

I was talking about Ming being our first choice GK next season.

The 5 year contract is baffeling to say the least, but in the end doesnt really mean much in terms of him being first choice next season or not.

And this is the perfect example of showing patience. Loads were saying he was shite, a shocking buy and not even good enough to be a Liverpool player.
Now he's slowly but surely looking boss

It does though, that's why it's so baffling. There's only two ways this will go. We carry on playing him and putting faith in him, when it's clear he's nowhere near good enough, or we buy a new keeper and look like chumps for giving him a bumper longterm deal. We're on a hiding to nothing again and we look like amateurs, again.

I'd agree that it was the first goal that was the catalyst, but both Toure and Sakho want their arses kicking for how easily an opponent took the ball to feet in front of them (and previously Can for not even attempting to close space), and then the supposed beast (pffft) let tiny little Defoe turn on him. The first was a Mignolet clusterfuck, on the second half the defence and mid had opportunities to stop it.

Can someone tell me exactly what Ming was on wage wise before, and after this contract extension? I can't actually remember seeing any figures, so don't know if it was an increase, or just an extension on the same pay.

This^^ .
Panic buying in the past is one of the main reasons we have the bloated & expensive but largely mediocre squad that we've seen recently. Let's comment on Klopp's options after he's had the summer & winter windows to bring in new players(and of course get rid of some)

You pay your price and have every right to come and go as you please. Just as I have every right to have an opinion. In my opinion, it affected the team. It's that simple really.
And to be fair, that's all it is. An opionion. Nobody knows for sure whether it made a toss of difference or not.

If it affected the team then good. I'm fucking made up. Football without fans is fuck all. I walked out early and I don't feel one small particle of guilt for us throwing away a win. Its hardly unusual.

Explain the 5yr contract and unequivocal, total and complete public backing of his current GK then?

An un happy keeper only brings negative vibes to the squad. He'll be gone by summer or become the backup

Liverpool is unique in Britain. An outbreak of mass stupidity on yesterday's scale could only happen here. It's impossible to prove but I felt angry because the mass walkout seemed to cost us two points. I guess in the long run it doesn't matter that much because we are only going to finish up mid-table anyway.
