Liverpool related transfer speculation

Aina would be a good signing on a free (as back up / rotation to the Tayto) if we are putting money into a left back too. We won't have cash to throw at every position and if he's actually available then I would also agree its a no brainer as Bradley hasn't shown he can stay fit for long periods of time yet.

That'll be the main downfall, but I also think it could be done on a reasonable budget. Thankfully it's not my job to work it out. But off the top of my head we could get David and and Cunha for a combined 60m (and that's all on Cunha)

As a separate note, I see Huijsen apparently has a release clause of 50m. That's a no fucking brainer

For me, a lovely summer could look like

Isak/David - 100m/free
Cunha - 60m release clause
Kerkez - 50m
Huijsen - 50m (could even loan back to Bournemouth to avoid upsetting them too much)
A DM/cm - 50m

I'd like an AM, but I'm hoping Harvey might get more of a look in in a different setup with a decent 9

Huge expenditure, but the hope is sales help with this being palatable:

Nunez -40m
Jota - 20m
Diaz - 60m
Kelleher -30m
Tsimi -10m

We'll see how it goes, but there's little excuse for me tbh as to why we can't spend.

We'll see. There's bound to still be some major gap we don't address come the start of the season. There just always seems to be.

I think it'll be CDM again. He'll reluctantly give endo more minutes, but a lot less than he should

Every now and then amazing stats are thrown up. It doesn't mean we should go and buy the player or even if he's any good. And an 18 year old in the Dutch league ? As if.

Yes, get this one the fuck done. Transformative to our defence - and in turn the attack, by having an energetic, aggressive, powerful, attacking full back.
 
I reckon in two years as long as we qualify for CL our turnover will exceed £900m, which should mean we can afford to retain players at the higher salary

Liverpool are closing in on a move for Milos Kerkez who prefers a switch to Anfield over the likes of Arsenal, Man City & Real Madrid.
Liverpool have already made initial contact with Bournemouth.
Liverpool are also understood to be willing to pay the £50m release clause for Dean Huijsen.

Well if Hughes can’t get deals done with Bournemouth and given we can’t find a helicopter to go up to 30,000 ft…. Maybe we can employ some sort of balloon and Binomial can supply the hot air… and then we can drop him off. (Hughes that is… not Binomial… tempting as it is).
 
Huijsen doesn't arrive without VVD leaving, IMO, so it would be bitter sweet. He'll have offers on the table that beat him taking up Joe Gomez's role in the short term. But he looks a very good CB at a reasonable price. It would be a huge step up for him, though, not just joining Liverpool, playing in the CL, etc, but stepping into Virgil shoes is a hell of an ask.

If both him and Kerkez join then we'll benefit from their experience together this season.

If Trent is also off then Konate would be a valid shout for captain/vice captain and provide some leadership across a new backline, providing this fucker isn't also leaving in a year, too.
