Liverpool related transfer speculation

Why the fuck are we prioritising a LB over a DM or CB?

Having Kerkez over an improved Robbo/Kostas for the rest of the season isn't going to do anything for our title hopes, we need to be looking at serial fucking winners that can come in and push us over the line.

Kerkez would be a brilliant signing. 40-50 mill £ fee probably.
What do we reckon we can get for Kostas? 15-20 mill? 2,5 years left on his current deal.

Who says we're not looking at both. I would argue that if the right player looks available we should start buying to let Slot build his squad.

The subject as this thread hit 100 pages is Kerkez, so he's nailed on.

The only other nailed on thing is people losing their sh1t on the basis of the latest twitter rumour

Should have played a young/old Jim Leighton in both.

‘82 I’d agree - but according to Wiki he didn’t make his debut for Aberdeen until after the ‘78 World Cup.

The other option would have been George Wood, who I think was at Everton in ‘78.

Probably the right choice to go with Rough.

Badé closed, he will play for Liverpool

As we exclusively reported on TDF, Sevilla have practically closed the sale of Loic Badé who, if nothing goes wrong, will leave for Liverpool in the winter transfer market . Despite the brilliant start of the English team, the sporting management wants to increase the rotation in the back line and the figure of the Frenchman has been a clear objective since last summer.

The Seville club is not going through its best moment financially, something that would also be reflected in the sporting arena. The Andalusians are currently prioritising the entry of money into the club's coffers and the departure of the Frenchman will undoubtedly help to increase the club's capacity to face the future.

For his part, the footballer, since his arrival in Sevilla in the summer of 2023, has done nothing but burn through stages within the club until becoming a fundamental player in the axis of the defence. This has undoubtedly aroused the interest of several Premier League teams, including Aston Villa, but in the end it is Liverpool that has imposed itself in the negotiations.

Initially, Sevilla were demanding around €30M for the entire transfer, but in the end the amount of the operation was agreed at around €25M.

Probably bullshit, but I can see a scenario where Gomez leaves in the summer in order to play first team football and become an England regular again, and we replace him with this guy.

I haven't seen much of him. YouTube videos aren't exactly enthralling viewing for a defender. Has anyone had a good Loic at him to see if he fits what we need?

Ok - I can live with this, he is a French defender so cannot be bad right ? - good partner for Konate for the future, although all reports suggest we should be going for that guy from Ajax (the 18 year old). However, Gomez is irreplaceable, there is no other back-line guy that can play all 4 positions at the back. He needs to be given more game time in my view.

You have to love the Echo right - I did a search on the web, and there is an article that appears headlined....

"Watch Bade in action for Sevilla in their 5-1 defeat to Barcelona....." - Oh yes can't wait to get this guy now.

I was excited to see Scotland make the Euros after a 2-0 win v Spain. I thought they might be back.

And then I saw them play...

Kerkez is actually decent. Dom is proven, but for some reason he isn't slotting in to the new system
The issue for me is the price tag (on Kerkez), which is likely to be around £50m.
I like Maxim De Cuyper, probably would cost £20-25m
I dont think we spend 50M on a LB, its not something we should be doing.

Our scouts are absolutely fucking shite. Wouldn't have been anything to joke about if they were half competent at finding good young talent. They look everywhere except the birthplaces for these naturally gifted players.

Not 1 outstanding talent we've recruiting outside Britain under the FSG brand, Coutinho perhaps the only 1.

€27 million, a maximum of €3 million add-ons depending on sporting conditions and a 15% sell-on clause.

Dude is gonna be expensive as fuck

Poor the Badger.

How can we go from Zubimendi to Baleba? He doesn't look technically good enough to play in our team.

It’s because we haven’t… I’m guessing Hansern’s quoting some random source off X.
