She did originally want to book from the 25th though & I instead booked from the Monday just in case we got to the CL final, so I shouldn't really complain so much.

Everywhere doing tickets is sold out except that bierkeller place which is stupid expensive to get in nearly £6 a pint too.
So far the only viable decent/sports venues that aren't doing tickets are:
Mccooleys (only a couple of hundred spaces though), walkabout, legends (on mathew St though so likely to be rammed all day meaning harder to get there early without drinking from like midday), woodies (sports bar on wood st, dirt cheap ale, but not the best screens & toilets like the king Harry, rileys (decent option but if they don't move the pool tables may not be easy to get to see the screens with lots of people in there). A couple of smaller places too, Tom halls tavern, Berry St bar & kitchen, & then obv just normal pubs & bars like the Flute etc which have big screens.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.
Tbh I'm sorely tempted to try mccooleys at about 5/half 5 (maybe even earlier depending on everyone's logistics) & if it's already full then head up to the Flute cos it has half decent drink prices & a big screen.
We'd have to get there early as fuck though & just stand/sit supping like old men & shoot the breeze nervously for a couple of hours though.
Sorry mate, I quiffed the thread. We've only just decided on possibly going into town. Cheers for the info, I'll look into them. For how busy it's going to be, it might be a case of us finding somewhere closer to home and sacrificing what's likely to be a great atmosphere in town.

Ok, so rough plan is, we get into town as early as feasible & try mccooleys. Failing there we try everywhere with a big screen close by, then if all too busy we head up hanover Street to the Flute.
Any objections make them known or forever hold your piece. Not you Andy, yours needs to be out during the game for good luck. You may have to watch parts of the game in the bogs on your phone so you don't get removed from the premises though.

3 would be much better obv. I'm just worried if people can't get there for that time then can't get in cos of it.
We had a similar experience in 07. We got there really early & three of the lads were an hour later, couldnt get in & had to watch it next door instead.
Yeah, as everyone else in the pub will be standing, he wouldn't be able to see the game though. I'm not sure his magical todger can work it's magic if he can't see the screen.
We'll be there when we need to be dude. Project a time for assembly and we'll plan accordingly.
