Liverpool CL Final Drinkies

All you people need to remember that I have never traveled to Liverpool before for a game and would never think of costing all those alternative options with the travel window that I have.
Ferry from Belfast? It was only 60 quid for me.

Although I booked it before the second leg

Right, doc mac, the only parking at mine is Street parking, we don't have a drive. There is already a motor home parked in the street though so it's obv allowed, but cos there's so many cars it's doubtful you'd get outside my gaff, but you'd obv be welcome to enjoy our facilities as you wish.

I've been ringing round & have found out mccooleys have 'sold out' but left room for at least 200 more first come through the door. So that's an option.

There's also a couple of other sports bars that haven't done ticket systems at all so again we'd be able to get in no probs as long as we were early enough.

I figure getting in for half 5 & spending £20 on drink as opposed to paying £20 to be able to turn up at 7 is probably preferable anyway!

There's one really really cheap sports bar on wood st that does 4 bottles for a tenner or pints for under £3. The downside is the toilets give the King Harry a run for its money for cleanliness.

We've got an other option for the parking mate, lets sort the rest out. Shits going to happen.

Depending on a great number of factors I may try to talk Bex into letting everyone watch it here.

One of the factors is numbers of people though. There's already 6 with me & my mates.

The benefits are obvious though. Big screen, & dirt cheap beer cos I have a big fridge & a cellar so we can buy it at supermarket.

The negatives are a 5 year old 6 year old & 10 kid, but they've stayed up dead late for parties before so it'd not be that different.

No idea if she'd go for it though. I'd definitely have to get a firmer grip on numbers first.

The other big negative is if we do win, being in town afterwards is half the draw. After 05 it was absolutely mental, in a good way.

Do it Paul!
I am really tempted mate. I would be traveling over with my lad who is twenty two.
I think I may have left it too late though
Wish I had though of it on Wednesday night or before even

Game will be on YouTube mate. As part of the contract BT have to stream it publicly. It's what they've done the last 2 years

Last year it was on BT Showcase which is on freeview. I’m going to a house party and they stream everything. The house is massive and will have 3 rooms all with it on. So I’m hoping it’s still on that channel so all the TVs in the house are in synch. I can’t be doing with 5 second delays between rooms.

Charge everyone 10 pound and put her and kids up in a b&b

Im 100% coming up in Doc Macs Camper.

Cant wait.

This should be the mother of all drinkies.

If you arent going Kiev you need to be going to Liverpool.

Dont give a fuck where we end up. If its tinnies watching through the window at radio rentals. Ill be in mecca

I'm looking at the Irish Ferries website and it's 230 euro Dublin to Holyhead leaving Sat morning and coming back Sun afternoon.

Is that the price you're being quoted??
€330

Is flying to Manchester much cheaper? If not then yeah, London and try and blah a ride from one of our London lads

All destinations seem to start in excess of £150 return and things are made harder by the fact that I have to return the next day.
Add in the expense of train/car hire to get to Liverpool, hotel room, and multiply by two, because I won't be allowed to leave my lad behind, and it becomes hard to justify.
Should have looked at it all a week ago

If you fly into London im pretty sure we will be able to get you hooked up to Liverpool and back bro. If there isnt room in the good Doctors campervan, either myself or spion or Brizzle will step in im sure.
Leave no man behind.

Firstly, sending the wife & kids to a b&b so I can invite twenty people round for what is basically a party is not cool. Bex is laid back as fuck about shit but that would not play. At all.

Secondly, the hotel prices are through the roof & availability is almost zero, & if I was to do that it'd have to be a fucking boss hotel to make up for kicking them out of their own house.

Just not gonna happen.

Ok, if, IF, I ask Bex if we can do this getting into town afterwards was one of my biggest worries, as getting taxis may not be possible (although there is a taxi firm less than five minutes away so its 50/50) but having just checked the train times the last train into town from the station cloclest to mine (a few mins walk) is at 23.45.

My very rough maths works out that bar any delay to kick off of more than 5 minutes even with ET & pens the latest it should finish is 23.15. The train station is 5 minutes from mine & only takes 12 minutes into Liverpool Central.

Still, I need numbers before I even try to sell this to Bex. It's gonna be a very hard sell his one methinks.

It's a PITA I'm going to Wales Monday morning.

If I wasn't I'd send the wife & kids to somewhere like lego land hotel for the night, & charge you lot a tenner or so each, using the cash to pay for it. There's no way she'd go for doing that & having drive there & back within 24 hours then pack all out shite to go to Wales the next day.

So, can each one of you who is confirmed as coming up here let it be known along with if you're bringing a brother, sister, mother, father, uncle, son, daughter, friend, colleague, that homeless fella from the corner you always buy a cup of coffee for in the morning, etc, with you, so I can get an idea of numbers?

Cheers.
