Kuyt to Inter TODAY?

Not implausible, but unlikely hopefully.

There's no question the bank wants us sold.

If we end up in 12th place we'll invite bids like that Blackburn has received.

That thought would give RBS nightmares.

I have this horrible feeling that we're going to be selling a few players in the next week, with a majourity of that money going to pay down our debt to such a level that G&H can actually get someone to provide them with a loan to cover the remainder.
If you were a bank out to make as much dosh as possible and were aware of their shennanigins over the last few years, would you give them the money even if they do put up some cash?
.... because banks are well know for refusing to lend dodgy characters money... with morals and common decencey getting in the way of the possibility of making a profit.
In the current financial climate, and the fact that the club is losing money everyday, you could understand easily why they wouldn't, regardless of how much we're able to pay off, and from sales it'd only a small percentage anyway.
No Mark... and this is the point I'm making... getting fair market prices for Mascherano, Kuyt & god forbid Torres could reduce the debt by upwrads of 40%.

G&H want to either get full value for their shares now or retain ownership of the club until new TV deals increase the value.

If they feel they're not going to make enough out of the deasl on the table at the moment, then their only option is to either re-finance or have the club re-posessed by the bank.

Selling off assets.. even key ones... in order to re-capitalise or re-finance standard practice.

We're not capable of challenging for the title... and argubablya top 4 position is neyond us.

The priority is to remain in the League & hopefull finish in the top 6.

I think it's clear that G&H will do whatever serves their interests best... and I'm pretty sure they won't necessarily conincide with the clubs best interests in the long term.

As I said... it's the absolute worst case doomsday scenario...

seriously, is kuyt really a better option than maxi for the right side of midfield.
with cole now on the book I realise that if kuyt don't start on the right he wont play, but is kuyt really a better option than maxi?

This is another thing, if Kuyt goes, we need to replace him too.

Cole, Amoo, Maxi, Pecheco, Babel...

According to todays Echo, Inter will return with a new bid today. Kuyt is expected to travel to Turkey regardless.

15-18 mill £ and I sell tbh.

Nobody on Earth would pay 15-18m for Dirk Kuyt. Not even Benitez.

We should just take Eto'o. Eto'o for Kuyt. Then we'll both be happy.

We paid 9 mill £ for him, Holland international, first team player and just signed a new long term contract. If anyone will pay that much, it's Inter and Benitez.

Its 25th August. Getting very late to spend all this money thats coming our way. Can we really have replacements lined up when things are so unclear?

"worries that all this money coming our way will end up with the banks"

You can if you go for players that no-one else wants.

Liverpool's Dirk Kuyt Wants Inter Move - Agent
Kuyt pushing Liverpool for an exit...
By Salvatore Landolina
Aug 25, 2010 10:21:00 AM

Dirk Kuyt continues to dig his way out of Liverpool as he channels a path towards Inter, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

Despite reports claiming the Reds told Inter their man was not on the market, Kuyt's agent has offered a contrasting view.

He claims the clubs are negotiating, but are yet to reach an agreement over a deal. It seems Kuyt is perceiving a quick exit, but talks are still fumbling.

"The two clubs continue to talk, but things are moving slowly," agent Rob Jansen said.

"The difference between demand and offer is important. My client told Liverpool he no longer wants to be involved as this is something that regards his career and life.

"It doesn't mean he wants to leave at all costs, but when a club like Inter comes along it's normal to look into the situation further."

Is Kuyt 30 now?

15M would be a pretty good deal for him if it's offered. I'd sell for that price, but only if it was fully reinvested in the squad.

I suppose that's partly my fault for using the rather vague 'shennanigins', however I didn't mean anything other than them being financial liabilities. That is why the banks will give them fuck all.

A rather promising window is going to be shattered by the departures of Kuyt, Mascherano and Aquilani

That's £55M of talent going and no time and little money to replace any of it.

I agree. But with 6 days left its going to be very difficult to reinvest any monies coming in.

I was all ready to start the army up, then this coupled with saggy face showing rafa levels of useless fucking incompetencies in just two games. Annus fucking horriblis part II here we fucking come.

Inter are seen as a side which might win the title in the next ten years.

And are the defending European Champions.

We're a mess, a club who not even are own players wish to play for.
