Rumour on twitter that we have accepted a 2 mill bid from Wolves.
We should pay them it as quickly as possible.

The less funny thing is we'll probably end up handing that 2m to Konchesky

Paul Konchesky = horrific "footballer"

Wolves have put their move for Liverpool left back Paul Konchesky on hold as they look to strengthen other areas of their squad first.

Liverpool are happy to allow the former Fulham man leave Anfield for a fraction of the £3.5m they paid for him last summer, after he failed to settle into life with the Reds, and Wolves were said to be lining up a bid for the player.

The 30-year-old, who spent most of last season on loan at Nottingham Forest, is apparently prepared to take a cut in his wages - which are thought to be around £40,000 a week - in order to get a move to a new club.

Boss Mick McCarthy is thought to be after a goalkeeper and a centre-half first and will concentrate on those areas before he addresses the left-back situation.

I mean i know he is shite but could he not do a job for a fair few clubs?. If he's willing to take a pay cut then that should help things ....in fairness to him , considering he dropped down a league to get some games , it sounds like he just wants to play .
And It's not his fault we signed him , so if he doesn't act the greedy bollox like i think jovanovic will then he won't have bothered me too much . Well unless I see him playing for us again .

I hardly like to admit it, but I did think he could do a limited job for us......... :🙂
I do too Vlad.
Clean out the toilets, be a white line marker ......
and I presume there are some more things he could do but I just can' think of them at the moment. 😉

Yes well I was wrong , I must have been going through a bad patch, as I thought Hodgson could do a job for us too ???.

regards

Sven Goran Eriksson is set to save Paul Konchesky from his Liverpool nightmare.

The Leicester City boss is in talks with the 30-year-old defender over a £1.5m transfer.

Konchesky, who has been told he can leave Anfield after just one disastrous season, is prepared to take a substantial cut to his £40,000 a week wages to revive his career.
