the manager decideds which direction the club moves in and which players to bring in, so the manager is always more important than the players regardless of the players level of ability.
 
There's definite causes for concern - West Ham, West Brom, Wigan, Braga - we're still easy to turn over, and not creating enough. I don't think it's just the players.

If it's a world beater like Hiddink or Van Gaal, or Jose, I'd go for them over Kenny. But not a Boas or other underdog.

Yep.

We're seriously lacking in midfield and wide positions and it's impossible to overcome without a transfer window.

I think he's brought in two good strikers, tried to get us playing better football, and when Gerrard has been in midfield it's mostly looked pretty decent.

In the summer we need to beef up the squad, not necessarily with a long list of world beaters, but a handful of decent players and hopefully one world beater and then we'll probably make a decent side.

I absolutely think Kenny is the right man for the job. With the squad we've got, and the whole Torres situation, he couldn't be doing better. It's madness to talk about ditching him - we could easily end up much worse off.
 
i went for boas just over kenny just. difficult to explain why, just think long term it might be better option, but it would be a risk after just one season with porto. however, his record speaks for itself despite the poor quality in portugal's top division.

Plus our form has been just as good as the top 4 since his arrival.

Plus Plus if Kenny had started the season as Boss we'd be in the top 4 as he'd have signed better players than Hodgy to start with.

I'd love for Kenny to stay and do well, but Boas would be a very exciting prospect.

As sunny said though, the player list needs sorting before the manager at this point.

I think he has got mixed up with pepe and frankly the only way pepe is going to be here next season is if he is manager.
