Mourinho needs a failure on his CV, if only temporarily. The attention he's getting with this Madrid move is out of all proportion and if he were to topple beat Barca at the first time of asking, it'd be so much worse.

Plus the club and the fans won't like the brand of football he serves up, even if (or rather when) he starts winning everything for them.
