Your are witnessing the rise of a word class fullback here..

Today he was immense, his play leading upto the 3rd goal was superb.. He has been brilliant since he has come in to the team all season..

Solid fullback, with decent feet too..

Worthy of a GiF...

Ok, no. He'll be a solid player for us for as long as he stays at the level we need ... but he'll be to us (medals wise too I hope) like O'Shea, Brown etc were to Manure.

He's doing really well, I wouldn't go overboard, but I wouldn't do a Modo and play down that jink and pass today as rudimentary stuff because Coutinho does it every week.

Err that's Coutinho's game FFS.

Forget the Jon part... Flannagan.. That's it.. Like Cafu. If you can't be Brazilian, be Celtic

I love his attitude. I also love the fact that we have another scouser in the team performing well.
Plays to his strengths and was excellent all game.
We obviously need a left back this summer but its fantastic for the team and squad that this young lad develops and deserves his place in the starting eleven.

I never thought he'd be this good and had in all honesty written him off. Made up for the lad.

The real Cafu has said on twitter he wants to come and see RedCafu. Lucas has encouraged him as well.

Progressing each week very nicely.

So solid defensively, and has one hell of a tackle on him.

Just needs to improve on his game in the attacking third of the pitch, offer us a bit more and he will be class.

Love the way the spurs fan stands up and applauds that tackle.
But after having a second look at it, I'm afraid certain refs would have called that a foul because of how he followed through.
Flanno needs to be a bit careful with those tackles.

I'd love to see the Spurs forum match thread.

And how depressing for city and Chelsea fans hoping for an upset to see us score inside 120 secs 🙂

Flanno was superb but still has a lot of improving for me on the ball espeically when receiving the ball under pressure like Johnson.

Exactly, he's still young and needs more coaching, in defence as well.
The players are helping him though, I've seen Suarez, Gerrard and Agger talk to him during the game and point to where he's supposed to be etc.
The kid is like a sponge, he just absorbs everything he's being told and keeps improving with every game.
At this rate he'll definitely become a good squad player for us.

I never imagined Flanno being ahead of Wisdom, Kelly and McLaughlin.

Only too happy to admit I got this one wrong.

Kid's a fucking star.

Let's not go overboard, he isn't and never will be world class. but his attitude accounted for more today than 11 multi-billionaires in white today. Liverpool should always have a player like him in their side.

Everyone got it wrong, even Brendan who wanted to loan him out.

Well I didn't (and i think most were the same) think he could ever get this good, so who's to say he can't keep improving.

He seems to be learning more every passing week and his tackling is the best in the league for me.

He needs to work on positioning and communication to his CB's and CM and he needs to learn from Johnson how to control and hold the ball under pressure.

But the signs are all superb.

^^^^^^

Anyone got a gif of that perfect late tackle he pulled in the box? Soldado was free and breaking into the box and BOOM! It left Soldado down on the floor needing treatment before he subsequently hurt his ankle in a jump. That was a great tackle.

Can Rodgers / Inglethorpe coach some sense into Robinson if / when he returns? Obviously depends on how coachable the lad is. If he's willing to learn and listen, I'm fully confident we'll make something out of him yet. We've seen some magic done here by our coaching staff with our young players. Long may it continue.

To be a world class full back you really need to be great at both ends of the pitch.

Flanno is such a likeable player, he doesn't fuck around, he looks like hes playing on pure adrenelin a lot of the time, bar the odd occasion he gets the ball off to the nearest player as quickly as he can, no pissing around, just does what hes mean't to do and does it well.
