I think it's time we just take a loss on this lad.

As it stands there seem to be no place for him at all & he is on huge wages.

Just agree to pay part of the wages & give him to West Ham ffs. Long term we'll still save more than we'll lose.

What's everyone else think?
 
Agreed, surely we can agree a modest fee with a club like West Ham, 3 or 4 million, and then subsidise his wages or something, just get rid.
 
He seems pretty much doomed anyway, an injury ruling him out of the rest of pre-season has more or less robbed him of an opportunity to stake a claim.

Like his first game for us ... A stupid red card robbed him of 3 games and he never really recovered.

Fuck him off ... he's finished here. Terrible terrible signing.
 
I think he is a thick mong whose best footballing days were in about 04-05. I always forget we haven't got rid of him already. I sincerely hope we get rid of him now.
 
Not loan him out. Pay him half his contract, show him the door and tell him he can take whatever sum offered as sign on fee from a new club as the rest of the contract.
 
There's been talk that Rodgers rates him. I wonder if he really does, or if that's just an attempt to maximise what we might get for him.

I didn't think it was at the time TBF. For me it was a chance worth taking, which ultimately hasn't paid off. That's the way it goes sometimes.

The "thick mong" bit is a tad OTT but I have no disagreement with the rest of it.
 
yep, he's shit, unfortunately, i had high hopes when we got him but it just hasnt worked out for him
 
we'd have to give him away for free. i fucking hate cole and think he's shite but i think we need to keep him if we're not bringing more attackers in.
 
I was really surprised by his inclusion in the squad yesterday and even more when Rodgers brought him on.
I think his days as a top level footballer are gone and can't see him contributing to this team.
 
Something tells me rodgers only includes players in his squad that deserve to be there. Cole has obviously been doing well in training to merit the inclusion. So credit where its due i think.
