You’re like a bear with a sore head. Too much Chardonnay last night? 😀

Just back from Pinotpalooza where I tried to drink all the Pinot Noir in Australia.

In case you don’t know what Pinotpalooza is - it’s a Pinot noir wine festival - you buy a ticket, get a nice wine glass and the proceed to drink as much Pinot noir as you can from the stacks of wineries that are there - there isn’t any further cost… unless you decide to buy a stack of wine to take home…. Which obviously I did.

Thinking about Lindgard makes me feel sad.

Pinot Noir makes me happy.

You’re missing the point.

Lingard is shite, United and their fans are cunts and I care nothing about either.

I draw the line at…. If they don’t play for Liverpool… then I could not give two hairy fucks what these pampered wankers do or do not get.

In fact… I’m fucking delighted… because he’s shite and the fact he spent 22 years at that club shows how fucking shite they are and have been…. and also what a pack of horrible cunts they are.

Why in fucks name should I care whether “that” fucking club continues to act like a pack of cunts?

You’re still missing the point. And rather spectacularly as well. Its not about Lingard or Utd.
But please, instead of the discussion this what meant to be, continue to rant about Utd and Lingard.
Its probably more amusing then the original point anyway.

Nah… I’ll crack into some Indian takeaway (with some Riesling) and leave you to get this back on track to whatever point it was meant to be.

Shit players making no contribution- fuck them.

Players who contribute to your teams success, however that may look for the team - deserve a send off.

Pinot must be the ideal (red) wine for a jaunt like that. I'd envy you if I were the envious type.

Someone the other day rhymed off several ‘big’ United players that didn’t get any minutes in their final home game. It might have been Neville/Keane or it might have been some random podcaster and i was only half listening but it included Van Nistlerooy and Park Ji Sung.

Same here with the Indian but mine's getting washed down with a nice Argie Malbec.

What sort of Indian do you normally get?

Tannin and heat don’t work well together - so I rarely, if ever, drink red with Indian.

But I do like hot food rather than mild.

I don't usually drink wine with my Indian either as I generally want a longer drink. but I tend to go for tandoori more often than curry so the heat isn't really a problem.

If I had white in I'd probably have preferred that, but I don't and besides the Malbec needs to go so I can get started on a nice Chilean Cab Sav with Sunday lunch. 🙂

I don’t know whether big Wine Events are a thing in the UK or not - they’re massive over here.

Alongside Pinotpalooza, there’s Riesling Riot which is fantastic; there’s Gauchito Gill’s World Malbec Day annual event, Mould - which is a cheese festival, Junipalooza - gin festival, stacks of beer festivals, stacks of regional wine festivals and a few whiskey and craft distiller events.

There was one called Game of Rhones once, that was just for Shiraz and Grenache wines, Vin Deimen - which was based on Tassie produce, Oinafila - which was for Greek wines and Taste Champagne- which is great fun. There used to be an Italian Wine event as well.

Then there’s the Trade Tastings, which are individual company wine portfolio’s, which are generally not open to the public, but can be amazing because you get to try multiple varietals from different regions and different producers.

I don't know either TBH but you're starting to give me ideas for holidays there. 🙂

Well…. If you ever decide to take a trip to the wine heaven that is Australia - then do let me know.

Cellar door hopping is something everyone who loves wine should experience.
