Just thought I should attempt to clarify the situation in simple, layman's terms:
Anyone who thinks Lucas is good enough to be in the starting XI of LFC is - and I do not apologise for the agricultural language - a fucking mong
i think your opinion is obsolete. the fact is lucas was in the starting XI and thanks to that fact as well as other circumstances, LFC has now sunk to a level where lucas is indeed good enough to be in next seasons team
for as long as i remember this club was about winning every game home and away. and we needed players according to that.
next year, be honest next season will be about not losing our home games. for that we don't need mascherano, or gerrard or torres. what we do need is cash to pay off the banks
Yep exactly the same. Not. Lucas has established himself to be a permanent fixture in our side this season and last season while ngog has played a bit part role in torres' absence.
Except it is the same.
Both Torres and Mascherano are absolutely world class in their respective positions and you are sugesting that it would be ok to sell one and leave a vastly inferior player to fill the gap.
Unless of course you want to argue that Lucas is good enough to fill the position of Masherano. Because the reason that he played so much for Liverpool last year was not because he was good enough but because Aquallini, who was clearly brought for that role wasn't up to it either whether it was because of injuriy or otherwise.
I think it's essential for us to keep Masch at the club, and then pair him with Stevie as the central duo. Getting in VDV or someone in that mold would be excellent and play him behind Torres. We desperatly need some more creativity.
What I find interesting is the fact that nobody has come out to lambast the man in charge of contract negotiations for their failure to sign up Mascherano.
Everyone knows the usual suspects would be lining up if Rick Parry was at the club, but they're all strangely quiet this time around.

If Mascher leaves, how say we use that money to buy a top quality winger and play lucas and gerrard in centre mid, Aqua further forward?
This doesn't make us weaker does it?
This would be Rafa doing the buying of said 'top quality winger', yes?
Does every one of your posts have to include a pop at rafa?
Tbf he is our manager and hasn't managed to find a good winger yet, let alone 'top quality'

Fuck off then moany twat.

and why the fuck doesn't his missus learn english, fuck me if Beckham can learn spanish then any cunt can learn english, they have been here for years.

I know, but it seems every post in the football thread is some sarcastic comment about Rafa. He doesn't like him, we get it.
'Doesn't like' is very much an understatement.
The point is that assuming we'd replace one quality player with another is dangerous, because we've rarely done it.

Wasn't it only a couple of months ago when you were complaining that we had signed Reina up to a long contract?

This wouldn't have happened if we'd bought Scandanavian.
It wouldn't.
The only problem here is that there isn't any Scandos outthere anywhere near the class of Masher.
If he is lonely then surely his choosing at living in a private community is a result of that, he could just socialise with his fellow spanish speaking players more, not just Argentine ones.
He must have known that he wouldn't be surrounded with fellow Argies when he made to decision to leave Argentina! What on Earth did he expect?
Tevez sounds like a proper weirdo though. Unless of course he just doesn't like Mascherano very much and is using the old 'I don't like leaving the house' line to avoid hanging out with the miserable cunt.
