Re: HOME ALONE MASCHERANO READY TO QUIT

He must have known that he wouldn't be surrounded with fellow Argies when he made to decision to leave Argentina! What on Earth did he expect?

Tevez sounds like a proper weirdo though. Unless of course he just doesn't like Mascherano very much and is using the old 'I don't like leaving the house' line to avoid hanging out with the miserable cunt.
To be fair, Tevez does look like the sort of bloke you'd get together a mob with flaming torches and chase around the streets, catch and burn at the stake.

What I find interesting is the fact that nobody has come out to lambast the man in charge of contract negotiations for their failure to sign up Mascherano.

Everyone knows the usual suspects would be lining up if Rick Parry was at the club, but they're all strangely quiet this time around.

Wasn't it only a couple of months ago when you were complaining that we had signed Reina up to a long contract?
it was indeed. gotta laugh.
Not really.

His point was that expenditure of players on long-term contracts was something that should be watched, particularly if they were'nt playing much or were notoriously injury-prone.

Reina is not injury prone and plays every game.

Which was why Ross wasnt referring to Reina; he was referring to Agger.

No, but it was an area of expenditure that had to be looked at.

Which was his point.

i wouldnt take 30mil for Mascherano.. nothing less than 40mil!

Captain of Argentina
Still got plenty of years to play
1 of the best DM in the world and can play RB

40mil = sell Mascherano

30 mil = buy Martinez and Turan

10mil towards paying off the debt 😉
He referred to both, as he thought Reina's skills would diminish.
And stated that the contract offered to Reina was of just the right length, as I recall.

the best players who player most games (when fit) should be given long term contracts if for no other reason that you get the maximum possible when they leave. you think we would have learned from macca and owen. if mash's contract is allowed to dip below 2 years then we are fucking idiots who clearly don't learn from our mistakes.

I doubt his announcing to the world's media that he's desperate to leave will exactly help our bargaining position regarding the fee either. Why would a club offer a fortune when they know we are hardly likely to keep a player who is unhappy and ultimately is unlikely to stay long term?

We still got £30m for Alonso, despite all of that.

I'm all in favour of selling whichever players who wants to go. Liverpool will survive probably the worst crisis in our history. If we do sell, then let it be for top dollar and with enough time to get in decent replacements.

He's got two years left on his contract. If we sell him now, we'll get our money.

What is there to lambast?
Ross? Ross? ROSS?

He's gone quiet...
