We haven't got money to buy either. Unless people are willing to take magic beans as payment

I'd rather we went after James McCarthy than Martinez.
We've been sniffing for years, so it isn't that implausible. British too (or do the new rules mean English only)?

this is how it begins. rafa prioritises an extraneous position.
Then moan about lack of funds....

He should never be allowed to have the final say in transfers.

If there's one thing I'm certain of, it's Gerrard being here next season.
Really? Why so sure?

it doesn't surprise me that rafa reckons we need a new cm, so do i, but i don't see how we can afford it without selling purple or lucas and i can't see that happening.

Where is he going to go?

If he was made available he'd have a queue of every top club around the world desperate to sign him
Exactly.

Like who?

Assuming he'd be nice enough to not join another English side, there aren't too many clubs that fit the bill in my opinion. Germany isn't high profile enough, Inter are the only big enough team in Italy at the moment and I can't imagine Serie A holds the most appeal, which only leaves Spain. Barcelona don't really need another central midfielder and look to be most interested in Fabregas anyways, so we're left with Real Madrid who have just signed Kaka and Alonso.
I think AC Milan or Madrid will sign him in summer. Javi would be scouted as his replacement.
There's some stuff regarding his personal life that makes me think he's had enough and is off in summer.
I'd really be suprised if he is here next year. I was already fairly sure he was off before the Martinez link, now I'm 90% certain of it.

Maybe this will mean that at last Lucarse can finally throw his shackles off and be that dynamic, box-to-box, goal-scoring midfield dynamo that we all know the useless fucking cunt isn't
Dont see why not Bunst, I've now been told it by about 10 different people, plus it's now being reported on at least one other lfc fansite, so it's not like I'm outing any 'source'
rafa really should be using lucas as mash's understudy and pairing mash with an attacking midfielder. the lucas mash combo has to be the most toothless in 'premiership' history never mind liverpool's.
That's like saying we should be using N'gog as Torres understudy, they will never be in the same league

regards

The same Gerrard that "hates"being away from home. The same Gerrard that nearly left the Euros because he couldn't settle and sleep in a different country.

Nah, rumours may come from all sorts of sources, but Gerrard will stay here. That I'm pretty certain of.

Real? Don't need him. AC Milan? Maybe, but their a shambles of a club. And wouldn't be that attractive. Inter? Could be, but does he want to play in Italy though. I doubt it.
Gerrard's leaving? Not heard that one.
cos he isn't.

I could almost accept him going to Madrid because he'll be guaranteed a few trophies there, but Milan? AC, not Inter? That'd be a very odd choice - they're old and not very good.

3/4 good signings in the summer and they should have a title worthy team.
Like us then.

No, I'm afraid my chances of joining vanished a few years ago.
