Let's hope we're able to bring fresh faces to the squad, and these new addition can resurrect our season.
Reus should be a target but its reported Byern want him and there is going to be plenty of competition for him, so dont hold your breath. If we are strapped for cash than I would be happy if we got Hantelaar. Who are the realistic target come Jan. Borini and Lucas will need to be sold or loaned out... I don't want us to sign any players from Serie A.
 
A goalkeeper who can command his area.
A DM who is dominant
A world class forward.

I would happily see Markovic, Balotelli, Toure, Sakho, Johnson, Enrique, Lambert all leave.
 
We need a CM with strength, why we didnt loan in Song from Barca is beyond me.... he looked very good when they (West Ham) played Man City.
 
I kinda like that la cassette guy from France. Edit 12 games, 10 goals so far....damn.

Obviously Reus as well. I'd also take Hummels. There's probably more players can't remember all of them.

Oh and fuck Alexis Sanchez.
 
After spending so much money in the summer i'll be surprised if FSG give Rodgers more money to throw away in January.

We spent about £30 odd Million NET.
We made 130m in tv rights last year plus the 40m from this seasons Champions league not to mention millions in new commercial deals and the biggest new tv deal ever this year.

Mr Rodgers has earned the right to keep spending mate hes the one who has made us worth 100s of millions again after last year.

Wether he will spend it well is another matter.

I wouldn't necessarily agree. He had already spent a fair bit of money getting back to the Champion's League and has spent heavily this Summer. Plus his record is patchy at best. From an FSG point of view they also gave Dalglish quite a large when we had no CL money coming in and it was almost completely wasted.

Yeah, to be fair the 20 million on Downing, 35 million on Carroll (apparently with a decent sell on clause), the 7 odd million or so on Enrique were all fantastic peices of business.

Obvious targets are DM, GK and a striker, same as it was in the summer, where we only really improved at full back.

My question is who should we sell to fund any buys?

I think we're actually lacking anyone, that we should be selling, that's actually worth much right now.

Johnson is probably going to be a little undervalued. I'm not sure it's worth the 5m we'd get, he's worth more than that to us.

Lucas is only worth about 5m at this stage, at most.

The obvious one is Balotelli? We could maybe get 10-12m for him.

Anyone else? Really struggling to see what players we can afford to do without, that would actually give us decent funds.

We might as well sell Borini for 10 million and keep Balotelli. At least Balotelli can pull off the spectacular.
