So I got a train fine when coming off a train and I'd left my ticket on the train or failed to put it in my pocket and missed or something.
Anyway, the dude wouldn't let me walk through when i showed the wrong ticket, said he needed my details so I could explain myself
Explicitly said I wouldn't be fined at all, then I get a letter to my house with the wrong name...
Can I get away with this cos the fine is for a person that doesn't exist? I've heard a fair few people say they have done this before and got away with it, does it sound like a really stupid idea to just return to sender and say such a person does not live here?
