Sky sources: England team: Hart, Walker, Smalling, Lescott, Baines, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lampard, Cleverley, Young, Rooney, Defoe.

FUCKING RIDICULOUS from Israel ... 3-1 lead at home, and blow it on piss poor goalkeeping and unlucky defending. Real real pity ... We could have been going to Samba land - now we'll lose in belfast instead.

Too bad LTW.

Ireland tonight. I think we'll beat them comfortably. 3-0 maybe.

ahhh it's our footy team ... we're good like that - giving fans hope, ripping it away (and repeat till infinity).

i hope they get to the world cup once in my lifetime ... last time they got there, it was mexico!

Sweden will have to be really shit not to win comfortably tonight.
Norn Iron v Russia postponed with fixture possibly taking place tomorrow.

You better hope they apply as hosts.

Tonight's FIFA World Cup qualifier against Russia has been rescheduled for 3pm on 23 March as the pitch has been deemed unplayable by the match officials.

£40 it is as well, no thanks.

If Steve Staunton's Ireland can beat Sweden albeit in a friendly, then I figure Trappatoni might stand some chance of setting the team up to get a result.

That Ireland team was a lot better than the one you have now. Our team was shit back then as well.

Yeah miles better, with superstars all over the pitch

Rep of Ireland: Given (Henderson 48), Joey O'Brien (Miller 61), Andrew O'Brien, Dunne, Harte (Kilbane 61), Elliott (Kavanagh 48), Steven Reid, O'Shea (Ireland 48), Duff, Keane, Doyle (Morrison 68).
Subs Not Used: Breen, Douglas, Kelly, Lawrence.

How old were Duff and Keane?

Yes miles better.

I dont know if its an omen, I hope not. But I've just noticed on the RTE schedule that the programme after the football is Mission Impossible.

Roy Keane up to his usual.

"No doubt Rio Ferdinand would be under pressure from his club as they will want him to focus on Manchester United. He has a contract situation and a testimonial coming up, so no doubt he was under pressure."

Oof!

If they'd given Michael Owen a sympathy cap tonight, he could have beaten Charlton's record. Pity
