Will they be considered the best team of all time? Three tourney wins on the trot has never been done, not even by the great Brazil of the 1970s.

Maybe yes, I do find their footy a bit boring to watch in long patches in the games though. In a strange twisted way I want the germans to win as they play the best footy IMO not Spain.

Poor the Torres

Perhaps. It would of been better if it was two world cups and one Euro. I suppose they can't have everything.

Would be a remarkable achievement. Couldn't believe the negative bullshit coming out of the BBC commentators mouth last night. Anybody would think they were utter wank and Portugal were all over them. Oh and how funny was it seeing Ronaldo shaking his head as if his right to win had been taken away. Fucking baby.

Great achievement but I have to be honest and say most of the time I don't enjoy watching them. 67% of every game made up of sideways ball-retention passing with the occasional rapier thrust (admittedly usually successful) just doesn't do it for me.
But that's just me, I know everyone else loves it.

I'm the same

It's frighteningly effective football, just not particularly exciting football

I don't understand anyone who doesn't love watching Spain play. Maybe it's a case of "familiarity breeds contempt" and the fact we've seen the tippy-tappy bellends of Spain/Barcelona destroy teams easily for 5 or 6 years now people are somehow getting bored of it.

Personally I fucking love watching them and I think this is the best football I've ever seen, it's a joy to watch Iniesta, Xavi, Fabregas, Pique, Alba, Alonso etc with their fabulous pass & move (although it wasn't too much in evidence in the first 90 minutes of last night).

I think this Spanish team will be truly appreciated in 10 years time when maybe there isn't such a dominant force in the game.

I think Spain will win the final no matter who wins tonight. Any team that has a bench comprising Torres, Llorente, Mata, Martinez, Pedro, Reina, Fabregas and Navas has got to be considered the best team ever.

But that's how Shanks & Sir Bob wanted us to play, it was all about keeping possession and it led to our most succesful period.

If only messi was Spanish!

He gives barca the extra cutting Edge which is sometimes missing from the Spanish play.

Spain may not be exciting or entertaining to watch but I still really enjoy watching them play and find it totally absorbing.

The Germans will win it, 3-2 in the final, thats been my prediction since day one anyway!

I do at the moment think that German and Spain are the two best teams in the world, by a fair distance too.

I think the Germans are the 2nd best team in the World at present and probably by some distance but I still think Spain are quite a way ahead of them....................hopefully if Germany beat Italy all will be revealed on Sunday.

Don't count the Germans out just yet or for that matter Italy. Football is a funny old game. I expect Germany to do Italy though.

Spain seem intent on not playing with a striker and if thats the case in the final, Germany is going to make them pay.

I was being nice. They bore the fucking arse off me.

And me. They are better to watch when Villa is playing as they are more direct in the final third. However, my boredom is tempered by loving every second of seeing Torres sit on the bench whilst a series of midfielders play as 'striker'.

I want Germany to win.

They've played more through balls than any other team in the tournament by miles.

So ... ?

Interesting point from Soccernet:

But there is another contender to rival Spain’s achievement, and that is Brazil, starting with the 1994 World Cup and stretching to the 2007 Copa America. Simply put, the résumé is impressive. During this stretch, the Seleção won two World Cups and four Copa America titles while also losing the final of the 1998 World Cup and the 1995 Copa America.

Spain are proving a great team but the best in history? Close but no cigar!

Brazil 1970 hands down.

They'll certainly always be mentioned with the great teams from now on. But comparing all those teams is hard. Different eras, advancements in certain areas of the game etc etc.
