Hmm... sounds to me like he is not trying to fleece the club...

Liverpool could break even on Rafa sacking following Inter move
Published 22:30 08/06/10 By David Maddock
Liverpool will be handed a much-needed financial bonus from Inter Milan's decision to make Rafa Benitez their next manager.
The English club had agreed a £6million-plus compensation package with the Spaniard when he was sacked last week.
But the initial up-front payment was less than £3million, and now, with the 52 year old walking straight into a new job, no further payments will be made under the terms of the severance deal.
In fact, Liverpool may not be out of pocket at all, after their decision to part with their manager, following the disastrous campaign which culminated in a disappointing seventh-placed finish.
They will be due compensations themselves from the Italian club, when, as expected, Benitez takes his backroom staff with him to the San Siro stadium.
Inter were due to unveil Benitez as the replacement for treble-winning manager Jose Mourinho last night, but in keeping with the intrigue surrounding the former Reds boss, the announcement was delayed and is now expected this morning.
Inter president Massimo Moratti confirmed yesterday that the appointment of the Spaniard was imminent, but then with the media waiting, technical director Marco Branca revealed there had been a delay.
"We must fix some details, so nothing will be official until late into the night or tomorrow morning," Branca said in an official club statement.
It was thought that Benitez had become embroiled in details of his control of all playing matters at the club, despite the presence of Branca as, effectively, a director of football.
The former Madrid-born manager also wants to take his backroom staff with him from Anfield, which means Liverpool will be entitled to some compensation.
Benitez has negotiated positions in Milan for his coach Mauricio Pellegrino, fitness guru Paco de Miguel and keeper coach Xavi Valero, and he wants to bring other Anfield colleagues in when the opportunity arises.
Benitez had given Pellegrino a £2.5million contract only last summer, and Liverpool will receive an unexpected windfall when he and his colleagues join Inter.
The sacked Reds manager has decided to forgo a large part of his own compensation from Liverpool - which will only be paid if he remains unemployed - by agreeing to join the Italian side so swiftly.
He was locked in negotiations with Moratti yesterday over the terms of his contract, and he will be given a two-year deal worth around £3million a year.
