Ibrahimovic - Where To ?

Not open for further replies.
A swap deal for Masch would be ideal. We'd have 2 top strikers so that would be one problem solved rather than buying a cheap stop gap midfield replacement and a cheap stop gap striker, both of whom need to be improved upon in another transfer window. Anyways it won't happen like.

He would be a 'cum in your pants' signing for us.

We're buying Paul Konchesky.
Hahahaha. True.

Although his wages are probably about £200,000 a week

He's so overrated, it's untrue. He's a good player, but he's nowhere near one of the best players in the world as some would have you believe. I can probably think of around 10+ strikers who are better than him.

Spion hit the nail on the head in this thread.

How can people say Ibrahimovic is Over-rated?

He is one of the best strikers in the world and every club he goes to they win titles.
I think you'll find that most of the clubs he's played for were in the business of winning titles in their respective leagues long before Ibrahimovic was an itch in his Dad's pants.

Of course none of these clubs had ever won a title before he turned up.

Love live Zlatan the saviour of:
Ajax
Inter
Juve
AC Milan
Barca

*yawn*
So Ajax, Inter, Juventus and Barcelona all paid horrible overprices for the overrated cunt?
Strange.
That's a different discussion. The idiot poster at the beginning inferred that all the teams he has played for have won titles BECAUSE he was playing for them. I responded that all the teams he has played with are in fact giants of the European game and therefore have been winning titles prior to him turning up.

Ibrahimovic is not of the quality where his presence wins titles alone. Although justifiably it can be argued that he has played his part. But its not like he went to someone like say, Bayer Leverkeusen and turned their fortunes around now is it?

Surely you don't have to be non-Swedish to see that? Also as has been mentioned previously, he has been a regular no-shower in big European games. Against us twice in 2005 for starters.

Good player? Yeah I'll have that. World Class, cum in your pants addition to the squad? Not in a million years.
I never said he was the main reason they won the titles, obviously other players contribute. BUT, he was a big reason to most of the teams winning the titles. In holland he was a star, in italy he was a star and obviously for a team like barca to pay 46mil + eto'o for him they obviously saw something in him. Pretty sure teams wouldnt be splashing this kind of money for him if he wasnt one of the better strikers in the game.

Better than Zlatan?

Torres
Villa
Rooney
Drogba
Ronaldo
Aguero
Eto'o
Higuain
Van Persie
Messi
Tevez

I'd take any of them over Ibra

He's a very good striker, but not in the class of the strikers Brendan has mentioned.

He's always scored goals - but very rarely against the best teams, or in important games.

Barca spent a shit load of money on him and although he started the season en feugo, he was outshone by Pedro and Bojan as the season came to a close.

He finally broke his champions league knockout duck last year but he's still hugely overrated.

I'd still have him here.

Kind of a strange list Brendan. No one in their right mind would pick Messi as their main striker ahead of Zlatan. Same goes for Aguero, Ronaldo and Tevez as they aren't strikers either... Unless ofcourse you been rafanized and prefers to play players out of position.

Tevez isn't a striker? What the FUCK is he then?

Is it true that Zlatan has never failed to win a league title?
I heard/read that he has won the league with every club he has ever played in every season he has played. Surely that is bollocks?!?

A forward/am in the kuyt-mould? Would you play him as our lone striker? Anyways perhaps Tevez is looked upon in England as a striker but I reckon he's better utilized in the hole or on the wings in a 4-3-3.

Out of all of them, which players could do a sucessful job of being a lone striker/target man and doing as sucessful as Ibra?
Also are you saying Van persie who is injured more than kewell, is better than Ibrahimovic?
One could also argue that Higuain and Aguero havent won half asmuch as Zlatan, so how could you put them ahead of him? (although i rate them both)

What KHL said, Tevez, Messi, Aguero, Ronaldo are hardly known as "Strikers", they are more of behind the striker type of players or wingers (ronaldo)

What is the fucking point of this thread?

When we're looking at fucking Konchesky and Carlton Cole as likely targets, why are we discussing IBRAHIMOVIC?

I should start a thread discussing whether we should get Ferenc Puskas.

01/02 and 03/04 - Won the Dutch league with Ajax
04/05 + 05/06 - Won the Serie A with Juventus
06/07 + 07/08 + 08/09 - Won the Serie A with Inter Milan
09/10 - Won La Liga with Barcelona

He was Serie A top scorer in 2009
He won Serie A Footballer of the Year: 2008, 2009
And also made the UEFA team of the year in 2007 and 2009

He is massively under-rated on this site.

I don't care who rates him or doesn't rate him.
I just heard that stat and wondered if it is true.
So he didn't win the league with Ajax in 2002/2003?

Nope, Ajax didnt win the league in 2002/03.

Is not coming to LFC.

Was never coming to LFC.

Therefore he will either a) stay at Barca or b) go to a big club either of which really isnt that interesting.

Tevez played as the lone striker against us the other day and City won 3-0, so he can't be that bad at it. Aguero is also a striker.

Carragher was a crap full back, Tevez isn't a striker, and Arbeloa was a great left-back.

Has RAWK set up a 'SCM Mentalists' thread yet?
