jesus, some of the negative comments zlatan attracts are RAWKesque in their hilarity - he is hugely underrated on this site. There's a reason he has consitently been scoring with the biggest clubs in the world and consistently attracting ridiculous transfer fees - the reason's simple; he's world class, one of the best in the world at what he does.
There's also a reason why he's been moved on from those clubs and not stayed at any of them for a really long time. His skill is world class but his backbone isn't. If we want to get back to the very top, Ibrahimovic is NOT the player we need. He's a flat track bully who can score shedloads against nothing sides, so he's a player you sign to consolidate your squad when you're already on top.

No thanks, especially at the price we'd be charged for him.
mate, you're missing the point, at not time did I suggest we should sign him; at the moment we are out of his league, so let's not even pander to such crazy thoughts.

oh, it's a little strnage to question his backbone after he has been an integral part of so many title winning sides, that takes a lot of mental strengh regardless of how many good players are around you - you have to play to expectations week in and week out.

You can judge an argument very easily sometimes:

Massive fans of zlatan: Dreamy, red maradona, massive zlatan, ossi

Some of the biggest, most cluless whoppers on the site

re-read my post, what is wrong with it?
zlatan scores goals - check
zlatan wins title - check
zlatan is world class - check
zlatan is one of the best as what he does - check
zlatan consistently plays for the best teams - check

think you're the one who usually talks shite, hence gets ignored and often banned,

You obviously have missed the 'fact' then that he rarely scores against the 'best teams' in the league ... Says enough about his 'mental strength.' He's a very good striker, but he's not at that top tier because he disappears when games matter most ... Yes, he's a brilliant goalscorer against the shittier teams - and that's important too. But just like Ronaldo took his game (unfortunately for us) to the next level by scoring against the 'big 3' and throughout the knockout stages of Europe, that's the only way Zlatan will enter that 'top tier.'

I still can't get that image out of my mind of seeing Bojan come on for Barca when they were desperate for a goal to knock Inter out while Zlatan was ON THE BENCH ... Yikes.

we're both having a case of deja vu, no?

let's put it this way, you and a few other psoters in this thread stick to your views.

I'll stick to mine, safe in the knowedge that the managers of the best clubs in the world think the same.

So I guess you don't rate Barcelona as one of the 'best clubs in the world' as their manager wanted him gone half way through last season ... Oh.

7 pages on Ibro? Why does anyone care that much?

He's a decent striker who scores goals, but there is still a lot of doubts he has to answer if he's to be considered amongst the very best.

why are you being so selective and ignoring the likes of juve, inter, milan and ajax?

he went there scored 16 goals and was part of the team that broke the record for most points in a season, and to cap it off scored against the likes of real and I think valencia and is selected int he uefa team for 2009. admittedly his time there wasn;t as successful as his time in other clubs, but he did very well. give it up, you seriously underate him. he's world class and one of the best at what he does.

do you even know who the manager of Milan is? Most Milan fans don't ...

he scored 16 goals - of which 10 goals came after his first 6 games ... Great, he did nothing when it mattered most, something 'world class' strikers do. And how do I underrate him? I think he's an excellent striker, I've said it a few times. But world class strikers, which he isn't, don't disappear when the pressure is on. It's something every had against Ronaldo, me included, and now no one talks about it.

He seemed to have 'turned' the page, which most of us noted after the goal against Madrid (1-0) and a goal in the 2nd round in Europe, but then he disappeared again to be replaced by Pedro (who outscored him I think) and Bojan in the front 3 for Barca. That says a lot considering you're claiming he was so key in their best points total.

You overrate him ... As I said though, we'll see how he transforms Milan. I'll happily say I was wrong if Zlatan leads them to the Scudetto or glory in Europe. I wonder if you'll reciprocate if he does what I'm expecting (i.e. 20 goals, nothing of major importance in Europe or against Inter/Roma/Juve).
