Norwich sack manager and appoint Neil Adams
Norwich have sacked manager Chris Hughton and replaced him with youth coach Neil Adams.
The Canaries were beaten 1-0 by West Brom on Saturday and are five points clear of the relegation zone with five games remaining.
They are still to play Fulham, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal. A Norwich statement said: "The decision has been taken to give the club the maximum chance of survival."

Wait, so they appoint their youth coach who will give the club the maximum chance for survival?
Big gamble imo.
obviously. But why sack him now?
They've got a tough schedule ahead of them. Would be a challenge for any manager.
Could be that they want this Adams person in charge even if they go down.

[article]Hughton's sacking means that all of the bottom seven in the Premier League table have now changed their managers this season, with a total of nine managerial changes in the top-flight this season.
After Chris Powell's sacking by Charlton last month, it also means that there are no black managers working for any of England's 92 league clubs.[/article]
Maybe its a calculated gamble and Norwich are banking on the 'new manager improves immediate results' theory for their last five games. Luckily Rodgers at least has a game to see the new manager's tactics before deciding how to play them.
They've spent 26 mill £ this summer. 8,5 mill on Ricky van Wolfsvinkel.
If I were a Norwich fan I'd at least expect a similar league finish like last season or an improvement.
If they've got any sense they'll hire Malky.
They done us a favour a few months back by taking points off City and Spurs.
I feel a bit for Hughton he's not that bad a bloke in fairness and rarely hogging the back pages.
Plus we twat them every game so I hope they stay up.
It was an awful signing and there are no excuses for it as Van Wolfwinkel limitations have been on show for quite a few years. Also, the fact that he made a good signing in Hooper but has regularly chosen Van Wolfwinkel and/or Elmander to start ahead of him is worthy of the sack. Thirdly he has persisted with a midfield without any pace*, not much guile and not very tenacious.
*They have Bennett who is quick but injured and Redmond who is very quick but not very good....another £3.5m wasted by Hughton.
