'How Would You Rate Sam Allardyce?'

He keeps teams up. He will always be in demand

Yes, but he craves a longer project, a bigger canvas. I'm sure that's what he wanted at Everton.

And given the ongoing delusion of many owners and fans - Palace, Stoke and West Ham being some of my current favourites - they will never appoint Allardyce unless the previous incumbent somehow failed to deliver the delusional Top 8/ Europe/ attractive football/ "project", and they need Allardyce or one of his ilk to try and bail them out.

Tragic Fat Sam, stuck in a vicious circle from which he cannot escape, incapable of unleashing the full majesty of the Allardyce Football Vision on the bigger stage that he deserves.

The self delusion affects most English / British managers as they try to remain relevant. Fans
are expecting much more these days. Results along Won’t save your job: see pulis

The likes of Pulis and Allardyce aren't as deluded as some of the clubs that fired them and their fans. What the fuck do West Brom expect? Stoke? Or Palace? And look who they ended up with. And where they ended up.

That arch-pragmatist Benitez knows that when you haven't got the money and players to try and play football like Barcelona or Man City, you need to find other ways to compete. Or you're going down.

Rafadyce has done very well with Newcastle this year, but he was guilty of the same thing we diss Maureen for. When given money he still had us playing wank most of the time, even if it was effective.

Keep Bolton up with 50p you cunt. You couldn't.

My dead Nan could win the league with City (AND Barca, AND Bayern). Fuck off.

Rafa has done well this year based on his Squad, and lack of Investment in the Squad before the season. I am not sure what the way Ahead look like for him and his gang. I Guess he would want some strengthening but I am not sure he will develop some New brand of football anyway. Still it will be compact organisation and keep it tight. Work Your socks off on the right side of the ball, and hope some pure brilliance is good enough in the other end. I believe he will look for that.

Still I think there is a gap between his thinking (probably long Ahead) and the one of Pulis and Sam (include Pardew, Arry and whoever in that). I don't think for a second Pulis has another tought on how football should be played. I don't think when at a Club he even consider a different approach to a game. He play every game this way and his only ambition is to maybe scratch a result in the NeXT game, whereas I believe Rafa at least have some bigger idea of what he wants With his Newcastle (or wherever he goes Next).

Those clubs aren’t ever go to win anything so some nice football would be a good start. Palace have some decent players,

But we could look at i.e. Spain. Would Alaves end up winning anything in general? Or Dep La Courna? Small town Clubs With low Budgets, that developed a style of football taking them to Europe, and going far as well. It is about more than lying deep and hoping you are still swimming come end of the season.

There's actually a couple of things, relegation or administration or fuck it why not both?

I'd love them to just escape the bottom three each season in the last game, so we would still look forward to battering them again the following season. That'd do me.

At our age there aren't that many following seasons left. There comes a point when you want to actually seem them die as a result of the beating, so that there is some closure and peace before the end.

We really need to get our hands on some of those survey forms - I'd like nothing more than for Sam to be there for a few more years - and (while we're at it) Wenger at the Arse and Maureen at United

Be careful what you wish for. It is apparently not his fault:

"I know how to win titles. In case some of you guys don't know I won eight championships in four different countries, and three in this country. I know why you win, I know why you don't win.

😀

A couple of mates of mine are (old school, proper) United fans and they are in despair right now - they keep saying they wish they'd got Klopp 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

What's so funny about that? It's true.

It is not so long ago he went on about how United are used to crash out of CL while pointing out he had lead the teams beating them. Since then he has been telling the story about his achievments to the press every time he has seen a reporter. Pointing out he is a winner, which must mean that United are not. He is pissing off every single United fan, probably on purpose With his behavour.... The only reason for not see any fun in that is just if you are a United supporter...

Don’t you find it sad when you see someone with a chip on his shoulder repeatedly telling anyone who’d listen about their achievements in the past?
It’s amazing the way he takes fuck all responsibility when the chips are down. Blames players, bigs himself up. Pathetic. And funny.

[article]Sam Allardyce says the survey which asked Everton fans to rate his performance was a “big mistake”.

A number of season-ticket holders were asked to rate Allardyce on a scale from zero to 10.

The 63-year-old is under pressure ahead of Monday night’s televised game against Newcastle United, his former club.

“The director of marketing and communications has clearly slipped up,” said Allardyce. “Our department has not been asked what we think of this survey, even though I believe the survey has been recently passed out before.

“I think, from my point of view, it was a big mistake. I think it’s allowed you (journalists) to write some beautiful headlines on that situation.

“But the actual question was what do you think of the manager, the players and the staff – and obviously our director of marketing is clearly not a great understander of football and how football works.

“He must have thought it was the right thing to do, but clearly everybody else hasn’t and certainly my department, and even the chairman I spoke to.” [/article]

Which is why he was asking other people and not giving his own opinion. That's how surveys work.

To be fair, it's what Liverpool fans have done for years like
