I used to think 'preparing a bid' was fucking weird. Why would you need to prepare a bid? Why not just ask if you can buy the cunt for X amount? But then I learned that to meet FIFA standards bids need to be baked in clay by certified clay bidders, and there's only three of them in the world - thus there can often be a lag and a lot of behind the scenes deals done simply to be able to craft the bid, to get bumped up their busy schedule, especially as it's a special clay that is only found in the arses of some tribal people in the amazon.

Ajax drew 3-3 tonight and Eriksen was not at his best to be honest.
Still managed two assists (both from corners) and a well taken equalizing goal. Not from a free kick though.

If Rodgers is unable to bring in his first choice left-sided attacker, he could do worse than to consider Eriksen as a late transfer window pickup and alternative. While he isn't an out and out goal-getter, he has the ability to turn matches around, with either a crucial assist or goal himself. He could complement Coutinho or sub for him as the playmaker.
He wouldn't cost Willian dollars and we could also throw in Assaidi -- a player not in the manager's immediate plans, and formerly on Ajax's radar -- as part exchange. And he's a big enough name to give the club a boost and keep our momentum going into the season.

rodgers keeps talking about moving coutinho more central and signing someone for the left . So considering erikson plays in a central role also would that explain why they haven't been interested ? although things of course could change and coutinho might have to stay out left .
Surely, Mark, even with the limited amount you might have seen of Eriksen, you can appreciate that he's miiiiiiiles ahead as a player, particularly an attacking one, than Chubby Adam.
His free kicks may well be worth 10m, but the rest of him is worth a great deal too. Unlike the plodding tub of lard who did the occasional great long balls.
I reckon outside of ourselves Man U, Spurs and Arsenal would realistically be in for him.
He mentioned it again in his Villa pre-match press conference, so I doubt we're signing someone for that attacking central midfield posish.
