Prem league arrests for racist chanting 2010/11 aston villa 4 bolton 4 chelsea 2 man united 2 arsenal 1 LFC 0

People who think it isn't effecting the image of the club are being foolish, as an ethnic, it's bothering me.

'Racist/Indecent Chanting'

Those arrests weren't *all* for racism.

It may well be affecting the image of the club, but I don't see that there is anything the club can do about it. They did right to stand by Suarez because he was badly wronged by the FA committee. I would have been appalled if they had joined in the criticism of him just for public relations purposes.

Well, it could have been handled better, however it's not LFCs fault that the idiots demand a simple narrative.

I really couldnt give a fuck what the world thinks about my club. Liverpool, the people and the city, have had to deal with all sorts of opinions about them based on unsubstantiated allegations over several decades. I would be surprised to find a scouser that does give a shit about what anyone else thinks.

Damn right, LNM.

Mate told me to have a look on dailyfail site. Fuck me you should read the tripe they've written about last night. Really is mind boggling how thick some people are.

Brilliant.

It's bothering you before you know the full facts? Is it bothering you that this could be a complete crock of shit too or are you, like many others jumping to hasty, tabloid like conclusions?

Genuine questions as well, I am not trying to be sarcy, I am just interested as to why one bell end who may or may not have said something hateful is being crucified without any proper facts being considered. If he has been racially abusive then begets the book thrown at him, but why should the kangaroo court on here who werent even there decide he's guilty?

Why would a player report a fan for racist abuse if it wasn't true?

Clearly something happened.

The head of European football's anti-racism group Piara Powar believes that Liverpool should have been more proactive over the latest racism issue to affect the club.

On Friday both Liverpool and Merseyside Police launched investigations after Oldham Athletic's 20-year-old defender Tom Adeyemi was allegedly abused by someone in the Kop during the Reds' 5-1 FA Cup third round victory at Anfield.

The suggestion - yet to be confirmed by either club or the police - is the comments were of a racial nature.

A police spokesman did, however, confirm on Friday that "no one has been arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated behaviour".

It comes come as Liverpool have just finished dealing with the fall-out from Luis Suarez's eight-match ban for racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra.

Both clubs are reluctant to comment until the police have moved the investigation forward but Powar, executive director of European football's anti-discrimination body FARE, believes that Liverpool should be speaking out.

"The obvious thing for LFC today must be to come out as a club - owner, manager, captain - and start to undo some of the damage, including addressing their fans," he wrote on Twitter.

"Go onto the LFC website and there is not a single expression of regret about what happened last night.

"Are LFC fans going to do this at every game, support the mistakes made by their own man by abusing others?
25% of PL players are black.

"That's a lot of players to abuse. Top clubs have unprecedented influence and power over millions of people.

"They should exercise that power responsibly, if they don't it's time for the authorities to step in.

"Those scenes last night, it was clear, this is not just an issue for football but our society as a whole.

"The LFC brand is being tarnished, but so is British football. Where are football's leaders on this issue today?"

He's Chelsea.

Really don't give a crap if he is Chelsea, manure or sun or mirror or what, he is however seriously pissing me off.

So far club are right in keeping quiet, let's wait and see whagwan BUT if something was said and it was wrong and messed up then the guy needs to have boom thrown at him with a serious statement.

If on the other hand it turns out he was abused but told to fuck off or so some such similar ish then it's a bit tougher, still need to issue a harsh statement but to add stuff like this happens at all clubs, If you get what I mean.

I so heard collymore was sent abusive tweets by some tard who has now been arrested, again I hope it not an lfc fan cos that will obviously make things even worse.
Collymore was sent loads of abuse from blatant lfc fans after the evra/Suarez thing.

if a racist is an lfc fan then i'll say it again. how the fuck has that got anything to do with the club? that's the real lesson in perception that people need to learn here.

It's pretty well established from players who were in the dressing room with the guy after the game that it was racial, but if people want to wait till signs something in blood then fine, let's hope LFC fans don't then think it means he's fair game for them to have a go at like they have with Evra.

And as long as the proud scousers and the City are alright, it's all good, don't worry about the rest of the 'international' fan base

So the chants of Suarez were coincidental? I can't recall hearing of an incident like this at Anfield since...? I can't recall. So you think it's a coincidence that this happens now? After the whole Suarez thing?

Okaaaay then. I beg to differ
