He's coming back from injury soon ...

This guy was phenomenal last year.

Considering Real, Barca, Manure and Arsenal are not even being linked to him currently (the supposed four main clubs who have been after him in the last year), perhaps we should be the club that makes a move for him now?

He'd transform our central midfield in an instant - make us an even more dangerous outfit.

@rurikbird - you must be a big fan of his ... Thoughts?

Who?

BTW, says on wikipedia he plays for Utd

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/İlkay_Gündoğan

"İlkay Gündoğan (German pronunciation: [ˈʔɪlkaɪ̯ ˈɡʏndoɡan], Turkish: [ˈilkaj ˈɡyndoɣan]; born 24 October 1990) is a German footballer who plays as a midfielderfor the English champions Premier League club Manchester United and the Germany national football team, having previously played for VfL Bochum and 1. FC Nürnberg.[2] Gündoğan was a central figure in Dortmund's 2011–12 Bundesliga triumph.[3] Usually a playmaking central midfielder, Gündoğan is best known for his passing game and technical qualities."

Why would he ever leave Dortmund for us though?

He's going to leave them sooner rather than later ... I think you can't understate the impact of what Bayern did with Goetze and Lewandoski.

Arsenal - they seem to have shifted focus to Draxler (they really shouldn't focus on AMs but hey, their call)
Manure - I hope he sees they're shite
Madrid - Hopefully Nuri will tell him about the issues there.
Barca - probably best bet I guess, but no German players if I remember correctly currently (unless they get Ter Stegen).

I think we may be an interesting outfit for a lot of young players ... We are a club on the rise, play exciting football, have one of the 3 best players in the world, and have an up n' coming gaffa. If we make the CL, players like him should be our aim.

we don't have any German players either though! It would be a ridiculous coup but I can't see it

Utd will probably bid for him this summer.
Dont think he would go there mind

Besides Yesil, you're right ... Damnit. oh well, Didi and Sahin will have to do work magic.

I can't see it happening, but if we at least made a big play for him - it would be a sign of proper intent that we're in the CL to win it! 😉

He was playing for Nurnberg, who nearly suffered relegation during his 1st full season, and managed a mid table finish in the following season, prior to his move to Dortmund. Now, if we can unearth such gems, that will be excellent job done by the scouting department and transfer committee.

Honest question: Has any player left Dortmund and lived up to the standards they displayed under Klopp. Sahin, Kagawa looked a shadow of the player they were for Dortmund once they left.

We need to be a bit careful about buying players from there. Maybe Klopp's system makes attackers and midfielders look way more impressive.

Excellent question ... and no. I think Lewandoski will though ... but I doubt the strikers are as affected by the system as the middies are.

Good point that peekay, they dont usually live up to the hype no, even Gotze has struggled at Bayern although I don't have any doubts about his class. Gundogan is a real class act though and seems to have the 'steel' for the PL. I also don't think it's that unrealistic Dortmund are slipping down the table in the Bundesliga and the loss of Lewandowski as well as there other stars like Gotze Kagawa may make him disillusioned. Same goes with Reus as well.

Every time I see his name.... It reminds me of Jar Jar Binks.

So... I want him to disappear.... completely.
